Over the last few days, NeoGAF user TaroYamada has brought the gaming community together to support a petition aimed towards Sega to port cult games Bayonetta, Vanquish and Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown to PC. Starting on January 23rd with an initial goal of 20,000 signatures, the Change.org petition has already managed to reach 6,000 as of this writing.

Both Bayonetta and Vanquish, developed by Platinum Games, run on the same engine as the recently ported Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Therefore a majority of the work has already been finished to get the games initially running on the platform. Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown was also picked as the arcade machine runs on a modified version of Windows. These titles would happily find a new home on PC, considering the critical acclaim that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has already received.

@Marower the community team is aware of the movement, but no official comment to be made at this time.

With a dedicated community effort across social media combined with the press and Sega staff watching the petition, it's looking very positive that Sega may be expanding their PC gaming library in the years to come.

If you're interested in signing the petition, feel free to follow this link

Please help out, sign the petition and spread to your PC gaming friends. Bayonetta and Vanquish at 60FPS and 1080p++ would be awesome.

If Sega decides on port, PlatinumGames will handle it themselves because they said they won't outsource any of their porting jobs anymore after the Bayonetta PS3 mess. (See Metal Gear Rising PC, it was done by P*Games and is a decent port.)
