I'm a fresh graduate with a degree of Computer & Communication Engineering from local U. My CGPA is 2nd upper class.
I'd spend 2 months to find a telecommunication related job, but it seems too hard for me.
Do I need to continue search for this kind of job? Or, i better start search others job (Engineering Job in Penang)? It looks liked Bayan Lepas is hiring many fresh graduate...
Pls give me ur wise advice, I'm really appreciate that...

QUOTE(vincent_ng86 @ Jul 9 2006, 02:07 PM) Looking for jobs nowadays is not that easy, i suggest you get to work where you have the chance and while working you can still look for jobs that suits you. You won't be wasting time... But, if my 1st job is about manufacturing, can i get the chance to step into telecommunication related job after 1 or 2 years?

QUOTE(jojoko1982 @ Jul 9 2006, 08:26 PM) but for engineering, i think is quite hard to do so.. bcoz while u r a fresh grad..ppl will still hire u if u have limited related technical skills/knowledge..bcoz u r fresh grad, bunch of training will be provided to u! after u had been work for sometime, ppl hire u as a "experienced employee".. they expect u must have strong related techinical skills/knowledge in order to join them. so better start with what u reli wan.. otherwise...hahaha~~ anyway, it's onli my personal point of view... that's what i worry about. but, what can i do? until now i still can't get a telecomm related job. my fren always persuade me go to penang and he always said i'm stubborn and lazy to work...

QUOTE(optimusteoh @ Jul 9 2006, 11:12 PM) Stevie-g.. you r not alone.. I quite same as ur case... Just tat its really depend on ur opinion n wat u really want... If you really want to work in Telco industry as wat u studied, only KL has these opportunities.. Where as if u start working in different fill as jojoko1982 mentioned, it will be hard for you to change field as while u were working you u forget those u hv learnt in University very fast.. Cheers... nice to meet u, optimusteoh! so, u r jojoko1982's friend, right? what industry r u involve currently?
