My dermatologist(dr.ranjit) only sells them in 10mg pills, but i'm taking them twice a day. that means i pay RM400 a month (argh).
so i was hoping that someone out there knows where to get 20mg Roaccutane pills which are maroon in color, as opposed to the 10mg pink ones, so i can halve my monthly bill.

thanks a bunch!

Maybe there's a medical reason to take it 2x a day rather than an intense oneshot? If excess, u just pee out the drugs so its wasted. Better follow doctors prescription unless u know otherwise.

yes very agree with this.. there must be reason.. higher dose once a day, more absorbed, more distributed and more eliminated & excreted at shorter time..

two dose a day is more widely distributed over the day.. somemore the 20mg dose isnt modified release formulation as well.. so better consult ur doctor first before change to 20mg once a day...

maybe for ur case, u need 10mg twice a day... but for other more severe patient, they need 20mg twice a day..

and 10mg twice a day is not equal to 20mg once a day... there are issues like absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination.. anything else, consult doctor first..

if the 20mg is cheaper than 2 x 10mg pill then u can juz chop the 20mg pill into half and consume it 2 times a day wink.gif

accutane is quite dangerous for female since in can change ur hormone cause you some period problem

what about try going over to bangkok.I think they have lower price than ours because medicine sold here is much more expansive due to tax and etc.The problem would be the availability of fakes in the market over there. sweat.gif

However, since you are taking this medication,it is better to stick with this doctor for legible medicine(less problem to worry) and health monitoring or start looking another doctor because this drug has a lot of implications, may be not now but later in life.

i think the doctor is trying to stabilise the blood level throughout the day, which i think is a wise decision to do.

hey guys,

Damansara Sp. Hosp. is selling for rm300, the 20 mg ones. when i called last week the lady said it was rm105, blardy hell. make me happy only.
but beware, their derms. consultation price is rm80-120.
that's round the standard price, i think sunway is selling them for cheaper, round rm270.
that means i'll be spending rm1800-2400 for a whole course. !!!!

WARNING
You better get consultation from doctors before consuming ACCUTANE

because some ppl only can consumer certain amounts

and there are dire side effects

and a blood test must be taken before consumption of the pills and 6 months after (max) to compare blood .

for more information, msg me. I've been an accutane consumer since nov 2005.

btw, yes, standard 20mg pills retail at RM10 each (clinic price)

if you got contacts, pills can go as low as RM7 ea

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before you decide to halve your pills because some pills are not intended to be halved or they may lose their effect/increases the risk of toxicity smile.gif
