QUOTE(Thumpy Ick @ Feb 7 2014, 07:27 AM) i dont know, bacary sagna and tomas rosicky are at least 30, do we still need them? i say we need sagna, he's still one of the best RBs in the league. and tomas wants to retire here. we don't 'need' him but he's class and he wants to finish his career here, we let him. i dont think cesc wants to retire here, i dont think the spaniards enjoy the cold of england too much. maybe he'll move here to finish his career and take up a coaching role in barca so that' he'll be able to enjoy the sun Kinda disagree the statement "we don't 'need' him" in regards to Rosicky. He is an experience player and at his age he can still play so well even though there's been injury plagues. His skills is needed in the team. In other way, he is useful against some teams in terms of tactical use.

There's been reported that Fulham might decide to postpone the match against Liverpool as there may be a planned Tube strike and that will give Liverpool the added advantage having a week to prepare for the FA Cup match against Arsenal....... QUOTE(zimhibikie @ Feb 11 2014, 09:36 AM) what about Seamus Coleman? He has been good for everton.. err, wouldnt a Tube strike be affecting Arsenal as well. We did postponed a match due Tube strike. So if Fulham can postpone, so can we Well Fulham affected more in terms of lacking of stewards for the match. As of now, I only saw Fulham mentioned they might decide on it by today. As for Arsenal, no reports yet on any postpone decisions.

QUOTE(TheRedRanger @ Feb 11 2014, 09:47 AM) Not suitable with how Arsenal play.. no Walcott, no more through ball from Arsenal mid.. Arsenal mid is one of the best, but became useless when the front man cannot exploit that advantage.. he is slow, look heavy and cannot dribble.. the only thing he did good is holding the ball on d ground, static.. If your basis above from the recent heavy defeat, then I'm shocked. But the yet again, if your basis on his overall performance with Arsenal, I'm even more shocked you can still label him a flop as comparable to Marouane Chamakh. "Not suitable with how Arsenal play." & "Arsenal mid is one of the best, but became useless when the front man cannot exploit that advantage" this statements I disagree. Maybe you didn't watch most of the matches Arsenal played. Arsenal are not relying on the forward to score but to play as a team. It's all bout the team chemistry. Rather than finishing moves, or even acting as a target-man to get onto the end of crosses, Giroud is best as a pivot to bounce passes off.

Olivier Giroud, current 7th top assist (6 assists) and 7th top scorer (10 goals) in the Premier League.
Yet been labeled as a flop.
Logic.

QUOTE(TheRedRanger @ Feb 11 2014, 11:00 AM) This only happen if we dominate midfield and play fast passing. But what happen if it is the other way around? Like on Southampton, and also happen last saturday. Dude, don't forget opponents have good managers as well. They learned their previous defeats against Arsenal. And in games against Southampton and Liverpool, Wenger tactics and gameplay were outdone by the oppositions. Have you watched how Liverpool players pressed Arsenal? Arsenal passes were outdone by the markings of Liverpool players. Southampton as well. The players put up more efforts and energy to pacify Arsenal gameplay. In the Liverpool match, the team were to blame for. Not Giroud only. All was below par performance and the defense were left exploited. And again, Giroud did admit it was a poor performance from him. And you emphasized clearly Giroud a flop just from recent drop of points.

QUOTE(TheRedRanger @ Feb 12 2014, 11:11 AM) In my opinion, 14 more match to go. Realistically, to win EPL, Arsenal can only afford to drop 5 points. Mean 1 loses 1 draw or 2-3 draw.. Achievable? Correction. 13 matches to go

QUOTE(TheRedRanger @ Feb 13 2014, 06:35 AM) Like I said before, Gitoud is not suitable for Arsenal play.. Hence I said he is a flop.. if this is Arsenal 10 years ago, Giroud will not be able to make 1st team player.. Again he ain't flop. Its too harsh to label as a flop. Currently he just not in form. You making remarks solely because of recent games he is not performing. This post has been edited by Griever5177: Feb 13 2014, 08:33 AM

QUOTE(zimhibikie @ Feb 13 2014, 08:37 AM) A 0-0 draw was not a bad result for us, but its not a good result either. It was clearly a game we should have won. Cant blame Giroud, he was well marked by Vidic. Clear chances from midfield, thats where we should have tried to do more.. Maybe AW have lost the plot a little bit, didnt reinforce the team, Ok if we are gunning for UCL spot, but now we are gunning for the top spot, should have buy 1-2 players to freshen up the team. During MU match, can clearly see that Wilshere was well below par, so many incomplete passes and lost the ball in midfield for like 4-5 times which allows MU to attack. He should have been taken off for the likes of Poldi or even Bendtner.. can safely say, if theres Wilshere in the team sheet, I aint gonna watch the match Are you sure? Wilshere was playing decently in this game. His run bursting through the defense was threatening but the defenders were able to block the flick return passes towards Wilshere. He made return runs for defense and wasn't slacking throughout the game. And now you saying Wilshere don't deserve in the team sheet? Only obvious below par was Giroud in this game.

QUOTE(raizo7 @ Feb 13 2014, 08:40 AM) One point worth a mention, Ozil created 6 chances in that match, while the entire MU players created just 2. Great to have him 'back'. Yeah...Ozil improved his game compared to last week. When he loses the ball, he runs for it to get back. He was very determine in this game. Made a lot of bursting runs and creating chances.

QUOTE(zimhibikie @ Feb 13 2014, 08:48 AM) decent? if u meant by decent by trying to dribble the ball, but lost the ball which led to MU attack or incomplete passes, lost the ball which led to MU attack and unable the control the ball in midfield, lost the ball which led to MU attack (this one I counted 4-5 times), then he played decent... by this morning performance, Wilshere dun deserve in the team sheet..he must drastically improve his gameplay and his temper.. again, Giroud was well marked, each time we attack, already MU put 7-8 players in or near their penalty box.. different perspective. Oh well. Tho this debate can go on and on.
