I have seen a lot of managers and I think most malaysian managers are very poor.

How do you rate yours ?

Some managers I have seen.

1. They just order people around and know nothing.

2. They give ridiculous deadlines that they themselves cannot accomplish.

3. When the subordinates approach them, they don't know the answers but expect the subordinates to know the answer even if they have been working there longer.

4. Doesn't know how to respect employees' privacy.

5. Expect employees to work every minute without rest.

For me I feel that 80% of the companie in Malaysia have these sort of managers. Thats why Malaysia cannot produce world class companies like SAP, Oracle and Mircosoft.

These companies' managers look at their employees as human and not machines.

Lucky you, so far most of my managers are of technical background promoted to management positions due to their tenure.  Personally most of them are good

Most of the managers I have seen are NOT technical people, that's why they give ridiculous deadlines and don't know what is involved. When we ask them technical questions , they do not know.

I used to work in a big MNC technology company in the states.  Their company structure is such that they have 2 different org chart.  One for technical and one

I thought ang moh make better manager than local ones. If the MNC hire local managers then it is just like a hellhouse .

Should specify which company, is GLC or private.

Both.

The GLC companies manager are very relaxed and doesn't do much work.
