Ok i didn't know my post can be so sensitive to someone. First of all, i would like to apologize if my earlier post had indeed offended anyone, i'm really sorry and i didn't mean anything to what you have said regarding to my remark. Secondly, thank you to those who had helped me to explain what i really meant in my earlier post.
Sometimes if you look at real football tournaments, you know they also have seedings for the better clubs. There's a purpose to why seedings sometimes exist in a competition. The main purpose is TRY not to eliminate most of the good teams in the early group stages. Common sense no one will want to see a group stage consisting of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Man Utd and AC Milan in the CL. Plus if the 2nd round will also consist of other great clubs like Liverpool, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Werder Bremen, you will see that most of the favourites are already out from the league in the early stages. I'm not meaning that other clubs have no fans at all, it's just that the majority of the world's viewers expect a more exciting final match. Even why M'sian TV only shows more EPL matches instead of French League or Bundesliga matches? It's because of the huge demands of the football viewers in M'sia that EPL matches are more interesting, but still there are some who do not think so.
My point here is not to discriminate and look down on the clan-less and unknown players. As i've played in FIFA tourneys since 2003, i myself had seen alot of new players that emerged as winners, such as MyFes' Solidsnake. Many players started to be good in the FIFA scene as time flies such as the newly formed MyFes clan, most of the members are new to FIFA but they can play well and are talented. So why do you think i will think that Winds is still the best and can 100% dominate the FIFA game in M'sia? I personally think seedings have advantages and also disadvantages but i just felt it's better to have seedings in WCG because of the reasons i've mentioned earlier. I just hope that all of the current good players will not be in the same group in the early stage. I'm not talking about Winds or MyFes, anyone who can prove they are good in FIFA are not excluded from the seedings. That means in this LYN League alone, it's not a 100% that a Winds or MyFes member can win and be top of the league table. At the end of season, maybe there will be a clan-less and unknown player who will be on top of the table. No one knows as football is unpredictable, especially with the FIFA 07.
Like what Loon said, he disagreed with the priority given to only clan players before i started this season. Everyone doesn't know what was my reason and they think i was just being selfish and only gave clan members to have the seedings. My main reason was to eliminate irresponsible players who cannot even follow a simple rule and always abandon games or just disappear when the league is running halfway. I've experienced this because i already had 5 seasons previously. Most of the unknown players who join this league are just for fun and some are not even serious. So why we want to waste the spots for people who play the games whenever they like and abandon games whenever they like? Why we want to throw a valuable spot away from a serious WCG gamer to another irresponsible player who doesn't even know what's WCG? At first i gave priority to clan members because i know most of the clan members will surely be serious and join WCG. That alone will not waste alot of the places in the league. I still reserved some places for unknown players who i closely observed and questioned first before i allow them to join. Yeah i'm doing this for free also and i'm also trying to be a better organizer. When i first started this league, there's no such thing as seedings. I was only notified by the WCG organizer that they allowed seedings (which showed they themselves thought seedings were a good idea to improve the standard of WCG.MY) after this league had run for like 3-4 seasons. My main purpose of this league isn't because to fight for places in WCG but just to let M'sian serious FIFA gamers to have a place to meet different people and to train with each another as a preparation for WCG.
Well now the seedings have been abolished, no more questions about unfairness will be raised, so i just hope everyone will continue to have fun playing in this league. As WCG.MY is just a few months away, serious gamers who intend to join WCG this year are always welcome to participate in this league to improve yourself. If you're just a normal FIFA gamer who just want to have fun playing and not intend to join WCG, just be considerate and spare the places for other serious gamers (include unknown and clan-less gamers) who would like to participate in WCG. But normal FIFA gamers are always welcomed to share opinions and questions in this thread, what's more you can always make friends here and add any of us if you want to play some friendlies with us. Again, i apologize to anyone who i've offended, and please bare with my long post since i have to make my point clear. Thank you
