NEW NORDIC FIXED PATCH (WINTER TRANSFER SQUAD UPDATE) RELEASED

For those who downloaded the Svenska or Dansk patches earlier and already patched your FIFA07 with it, you will find that you are unable to play EASO (only for Original version users). That's the problem with the old patch. Anyway, EA has released a fixed Nordic patch to enable original players to play EASO. The new patch can be downloaded from here

However, you will have to reinstall your FIFA07 in order to install the new fixed Nordic patch. That's a hassle and time wasting. Luckily, there's another step to it and i've chosen and done that way :wink:

The other way is to change the CONFIG.DAT file. I have to warn you guys first that if you tampered and did something wrong with the CONFIG.DAT file, you will just end up reinstalling your FIFA07 also. You can only change the CONFIG.DAT file only if you have already patched your FIFA07 with the Svenska or Dansk Winter Transfer Squad Update patch earlier (not the new Nordic patch i provided in the link).

1. Go to this link to download the File Master. This software is used to read and edit the CONFIG.DAT file. You can't edit .dat files with notepad.
2. Open the File Master and click on the drop down list on the left which shows you your FIFA07 main folder. You will see a .zip like icon for the "config.dat" and click on it. Then on the right side you will see a list of .ini files.
3. Double click on the SKU.INI file and it will open a notepad. On the first line of the notepad, you will see "PATCH VERSION = 2". You only have to change it to "PATCH VERSION = 3" and save the file.
4. The file will be saved probably to your "My Documents" as it's what happened to me. Double click the file and check if you've changed the 'Patch Version' to '3'. If it's not, then change it again and save the notepad (with the filename "sku.ini" of course).
5. Go back to the File Master software and choose "Import File" and choose the sku.ini you saved in your My Documents. Click yes if it asked for confirmation on replacing the sku.ini file.
6. Next, click on the "AI.INI" file. Look for something like this:

The most important are just the two codes, which is "PASS_SHORT_PASS_BARRIER = 0.75" and "PASS_RELATIVESCORINGRATIO = 1.0". If the numbers are the same and both codes are already there, just leave it unchanged. I'm not sure if any of you will have different numbers on that 2 codes or maybe one of them is missing but when i checked mine, both are there and the numbers are the same so i didn't change anything.

That's it. You are now able to play EASO normally again. Remember only those who have patched their FIFA07 with the old Svenska or Dansk Nordic patch earlier before the new release of the new fixed Nordic patch can only edit and change the CONFIG.DAT file. If you haven't patch your FIFA07 with the Winter Transfer Squad Update, then you will have to download from the link i provided above and straight apply the patch. It's up to you whether you would like to reinstall your FIFA07 or download the Fila Master to edit the SKU.INI and AI.INI files in the CONFIG.DAT file.

Anyway, i'm still not sure if there will be problems playing Direct IP like one is using the new fixed Nordic patch against another one who's still using the old Nordic patch. I guess the fix is just to enable EASO play but i still have to try it out to see if there's any problems. If there's none, then those using pirated versions will not have to install the new fixed version of Nordic patch and those original version users who do not wish to play EASO will not have to install the new fixed Nordic as well. However, you guys still have to install the Winter Transfer Squad Update patch if any of you who have not do so in order to play Direct IP.

*One way to confirm if you had patched your FIFA07 with the Winter Update is by looking at the PC_CL.BIN file under EA Sports>FIFA07>Data>CMN folder. Check if the modified date is 6th February 2007 rather than 15th September 2006. If it's 6th February that means you already patched and you can change the CONFIG.DAT file.

*To confirm if you have updated your FIFA07 successfully with the latest Winter Transfers, check if Larsson is in Man Utd and if Ronaldo is in AC Milan.

*In order to keep your new squad roster to your FIFA07, right after you click Reset Squad and Updated Squad Online, change something to your Squad Management such as formation, players or kick takers in order to save your squad profile. If you didn't do this, everytime you restart your FIFA07, you will have the old squad roster and you will have to do the resetting and updating again to get the new squad roster.

Eh it's possible they took out the players who are injured for the whole season? Maybe when they finally recovered, EA already released another few squad updates leh? Cassano is taken out from Italy again

The rules will be the same as the WCG rules but i'm still not sure if we should use World Class or Uber difficulty in the OP.

I've told you before...the maximum will be 16, like the previous season...this is because Hamachi can only allow 15 people in a single network and i think 16 is the best number of players in a season...it's not too little or too many

Ok guys, after such a long delay, i've decided to start the 6th Season of the LYN League on 2nd April 2007. I'm giving everyone a week to confirm me your participation on the league for this season. It will be similar to the previous season, with only 16 players and a duration of approximately 2 months. Therefore, the 6th Season will start on April and probably will end on June. Please check with your schedules and if you're not free during this period, please DO NOT join this league. I will not allow irresponsible players who are not serious with this league to join.

As the maximum of players are only 16 and is limited, the priority are given to players according to:

1. Clan players of Winds and MyFes.
2. People who are sure in joining WCG 07.
3. Previous season league players who have good reputations.
4. If there are places unfilled, early birds will get the places.

I'm sorry that i have to set a limit to only 16 players in a season after some considerations. Since it's limited, i really hope everyone will co-operate with me. As this league is meant for the seeding of WCG Malaysia, we are trying to search for the best FIFA players in our nation. Therefore, for those who are not serious with FIFA and only want to play for fun, please do not join this league. I hope you will give way to new players who might be talented and of course we would like to find out who they are. We need to train these talented FIFA gamers in order to make Malaysia's FIFA gaming community proud and to do well during the WCG World Finals. So i hope those of you who are not free, think you can't commit to the league, will not be joining WCG 07 or only want to play for fun, will not join this league and consider in letting those serious and talented gamers who will be joining WCG 07 to have their chances to train and show what they have in this league.

I hope this season will be much better than the previous one, without abandoning games and also players who quit in the middle of the season. Thus, those who are confirmed in joining, please send me a PM here ASAP before 30th March 2007. Any PM after the dateline will be ignored. I hope all of the Clan Winds and Clan MyFes members will be the first to PM me on your participations because i need to see how many places are left for those clanless players. Thanks for the attention.

P/S: For the rules and regulations, please refer to the first and second posts of this thread. The updated rules and steps in playing the matches (especially the 2nd post) are ESSENTIAL so it is compulsory for every league players to spend time in reading. More updates will be made prior to the start of the 6th Season. Please keep yourself updated in this thread.

Ermm actually there are also good things and bad things to the priority la...the good thing is we know clan players are more active and are serious in playing competitive FIFA and also to avoid irresponsible new comers...the bad side is some new players do not have the chance to participate when it's full lor...that's why i strongly suggest those clan members who are not free, not serious and not joining WCG 07 to not join the league as to make way for new comers...so i hope some of you are understanding and helpful enough to help our nation's FIFA community grow stronger

Yeah thanks for the info...anyway the rules are not fully updated yet...WCG 07 will release the all of the games rules by late March...so i hope the rules will be out before April la and then i will make a final update on the rules and announce it here again

Ermm yeah your point is really reasonable jali...that's a good idea by setting a limit to only 5 for each clan...but what if there are more than 5 members in a clan that want to join the league? Those who will be joining WCG 07 and can't play in this league will be unfair to them and how are they gonna sort who's going to take part? Yeah like you said...playing in the league or not also it's not very important apart from the WCG seeding...most LYN players can just MSN each another to have friendlies...in fact nowadays only a few LYNers that are active in finding people to play friendlies

That is also why i ask those who will not be joining WCG 07 and also not serious in playing FIFA07 to give way to new comers...so i really hope everyone will be considerate la...i also hope to see more new talented players to emerge from this league...i also don't want this league to be like a clan war league as well...so i think i will take jali's brilliant idea of limiting only to 5 members for each clan and the remaining 6 places will be given to clanless players...thanks jali

Like what jali said...it's quite the same...for those who are not playin in the league...they can always MSN other players to play friendlies and that will be consider as training...this league is jst to make sure ppl play their games every week n oso have the chance to get seeded in WCG M'sia...therefore there's no point for SG players to play in the league also...u guys can still add the league players in MSN and then ask them for friendlies anytime u guys wan
