Apparently overvolting the memory and overclock it over 6400mhz was a bad idea.

How much vol u bump in? Memory easy to melt as they using thermal pads only, no? My previous card memory could clock at 7300mhz at most anything more than that, all kinds of funny graphic appears, no matter how much voltage l bump in still the same

0.1v, it show artifacts around a min into the benchmark and then start to micro stutter which ended up with lower score. what surprised me is the VRM temp increased 15c-16c compare to stock volt.

I think my card need new thermal paste and tender loving cleanup. Last year, overvolting the memory only increase VRM temp by 7c-8c. 2+ months of mining degrade my card cooling performance i guess.

1.7v should be safe right so stutter comes from memory oc? hmmm l should try downclock, the mining really make out your card performance sell the old 7950, grab a 290!!

My stock volt is 1.5v btw but yeah it should be safe. I don't think stutter come from memory overclock, it was ok if i lower the core clock and max out memory clock. Maybe i overstressed the board/components when i tried to max out everything.

Would love to grab the 290 but right now 7950 is more than enough for me. Lately i only play Dota 2 and One Finger Death Punch... i don't need 290 upgrade for those games.

lm suffering from stutter and l had no idea it is my gc or my monitor tried to max out my lightning with plimit bios, end up crashing like mad for 3 hours still cant get 2k score on 1600x900, gave up

Whatever you're getting, don't push your card too hard just because of the benchmark, it's just a score, hope you still remember that.

Highest clock won't guarantee you highest score... in my case at least. I tried 1195/1550 (with external fan+aircond) but ended up getting score around 98x.
Don't forget to close everything before running the benchmark including DWM, i use TriXX instead of Afterburner because RTSS seem to lower the score down abit. Do this all for that extra 20-30 points.

Nah, real OC-er go underwater or extreme cooling.
