the amount of nvidia user in lyn is large, but juz few of them interested in doing benchie. i guess bench are nvr any1 cup of tea unless you are curious enough to learn and to hit the wall biggrin.gif

unstable factory oc perhaps? heaven is a quite picky dx11 software
*
quite possible, though he already using it since last year dee. takkan now only show up problems?

but his rig do crashes alot even on normal games, no idea whats the problem too

like when he run games, then alt tab or do something, he have a higher chance of CTD

when he open Chrome+game, he also can CTD

beter rma while its still on 1 to 1 exchange, some card can be unstable for factory oc as well  sweat.gif
*
but no artifacts or any other symptoms of unstable OC rclxub.gif

my friend say he suspect he not enough RAM (4GB only)

oh well, still got Zotac 5 year warranty tongue.gif

Downclock I guess, should fix the prob hmm.gif
*
haha he not really tech enthusiast, so i dont think he knows how to downclock (or if he even wanted to)

QUOTE(ReverseDark @ Feb 18 2014, 11:09 PM)
ram cause crashing?  shocking.gif l think should be unstable oc cause crashing, try ask ur fren downclock see the crashing persist
*
cause his PC is seriously laggy, like lag until can make my PC feels fast like god tier

open Chrome >5 tabs, he can CTD
open Chrome, Steam, Origin, Skype, he lagging dee. mouse slowdown and apps stuttering

but i still highly doubt its the RAM also, considering i used 4GB before and it wasnt even as horrible as his case hmm.gif

before that on his GTX460 also he lagging alot dee btw

this was when hes doing first test

bear in mind 720p yeah deswai the score super high tongue.gif

QUOTE(ReverseDark @ Feb 18 2014, 11:23 PM)
l can only assume crashing will happens occasionally on unstable oc or unstable driver, or psu voltage IMO  icon_question.gif

well we can only knows by swapping out the ram, my gf 8gb ram barely hits 50% consider the fact when she work with using photoshop, skypes, chrome, firefox with both 10+ tabs, theres a time her cpu throttle due to overheat becoz of the bloody intel heatsinks got strained by hairs  doh.gif
*
im also baffled, no idea whats the main cause

my only suggestion to him atm is to get until 8GB RAM and see if the lag persists, if it does, must be something wrong either on hardware or software side

*
last i recall, he doesnt have MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision X or Zotac Firestorm installed inside his PC

he never OC anything in his life

but why GPU-Z said otherwise rclxub.gif

Did he bought it from someone else or from shop? Either the GPU-Z gone bonkers or the GPU itself, 1306 is way too high, even for my 280X.
*
shop, from Cyntrix Tech

well, considering stock AMP! is 1150MHz, vs 1306MHz on the Unigine Heaven, its as if he obtain ultra golden chip rclxub.gif

golden ultra chips with CTD and stuff, he's lucky the GPU din't go pew pew mode. doh.gif
I think the card needs to be RMA. hmm.gif
*
ill do last min checking for him before i recommend send back RMA

QUOTE(ReverseDark @ Feb 18 2014, 11:56 PM)
golden chip doesn't crash so easily? l had edited my post above, l suppose the gpu boost 2.0 made it 1306? no? everything on stock normal boost would hit 1202mhz, 1306 would had been crashing like mad if the oc unstable, ask him dl the msi afterburner or gpu tweak from asus, prioritize as gpu temp  sweat.gif
*
even with GPU Boost 2.0, it cant boost all the way until 1306 right? like you said, boost clock is 1202MHz

1306MHz is like asking for trouble

ill get him to check with GPU monitoring softwares

Guise, calm your tits.

Try it with your own card(except Yagami), check what Heaven OSD show and compare it to GPU-Z max Core clock sensor reading.
*
from your final quote, so they dont actually show true result? hmm.gif

QUOTE(raydenex @ Feb 19 2014, 12:09 AM)
the boost clock 1202mhz shown in gpu-z but with gpu boost 2.0 it can go even higher than that as long never hit temperature limit iirc. but way up to above 1300 is stretching it la. to confirm check the 2nd tab (monitors) in gpu-z right after running a heaven test. you will see the actual boosted clock speed there.
*
isnt the thermal ceilling 80C?

cant be boost all the way past the 1202MHz to 1306MHz on 80C

Yup

Examples taken from Valley benchmark but same thing happen in Heaven as well.

GTX Titan
Current clock = 1110 | Valley show = 1306

GTX 770
Boost clock = 1228 | Valley show = 1304 | Score = 2081

Same GTX 770
Boost clock = 1241 | Valley show = 1306 | Score = 2192
