Finally tinted my car~ ^^ vroomm~

now my SA told me intrst has become 2.9..

Honda sure have a weird way in doing the job. remember this picture? my car missing the 2 clips, both right and left side. apparently, for that slot, they use screw, not clips. I talked with one of the Service Advisor, he agree to give me for free, as he know its a new car.

Then he check the parts area, then he said, they did not have stock for this screw now, then he said need to order.

OK, i understand, then i go back to office. then suddenly he called, said that they can give me the screw today after work. then i ask how can so fast get the screw. he answered...

"nvm, we take the screw from one of the new car"

i was like... wtf... but i accept it anyway, hahaha...

Yes you're right. But as of now, they're built for iOS only, that's why all the SA say only i4s and above supports for navigation. Hopefully they will develop for Android soon. 

Any idea if anyone using MHL-HDMI, do you need to have the handbrake on for HDMI to work? will it work while driving?? Kind of waste if HDMI is forced to off while driving. 
I believe mine is perfect else it would have caught my eye. I'll try to check mine tomorrow. Lazy to go down parking bay now to check. lol.

Instructions to enable video/movie file while driving..

1. Open the glove compartment by pressing 2 points on the upper part (as shown in the picture) towards inside.



2. After the glove compartment had been removed, you will see 3 points as shown below.
i. Back of display screen
ii. Glove compartment lock
iii. Leg of glove compartment



3. If you peek behind the screen from the glove compartment, you will notice a plug attached to the screen. Pull it out (by doing this you will disconnecting the power to the screen)



4. Now, noticed there are two blue cables connecting the plug. One of them is bigger in size. This is the cable you must cut.

5. Next, get a cable and attached it with the blue cable that being cut before (connect with blue cable in plug). The other end of the attached cable need to be grounded through car (as shown in picture)







6. Attached the plug again at it place.

7. Test whether it’s working or not (Should be fine if done correctly).

my SA also slow la...he said only can get end of this month for V spec metallic steel..before that promise can get 2 to 3 weeks. so next time dont trust 100% SA..He/she also depends from his/her manager.

I was told by SA these guys are from Alor Gajah Honda plant. *I'm from Melaka btw* Since its arranged by Honda, warranty should be intact? Heck my tint I event went for their panel mainly because they said if do outside, if any of the sensors on the door spoil due to the tint water it is not covered. And I heard the sensor nearby the windscreen cost RM6k 

Yes true... the sifu told me the same thing.
The security+solar tint for 4 windows, while front and back is Solar Tint cuz they say might interfere T&G..
I think mine is Phantom 50 as I told them, I don't wan JPJ kacau..
I got the invoice and warranty kept in the car drawer...

I understand we can link via bluetooth through our iPhones to play Music. I also understand we lack the *HondaLink* app in Malaysia to actually mirror the display onto the HU.

IIRC, certain members here have succesfully done it (mirroring). I have a question though, can I play my music and have Waze on at the same time?

I have yet to receive my car. Booked last Saturday. V spec Black, SA told me ETA early June.

P/S - raul88, do you mind putting in the first post on issues we should be aware of upon receiving the car? Missing Boot cover, missing rear tyre flap screw, door gaps etc. 

im using mhl cable bought from lelong. But sorry for the false hope. The screen turn off the mirroring once the car is moving. Dont know if there are any tweak to avoid this..

Same here....waiting for my modern steel V-spec booked since mid of April. Hopefully end of may can get leh. I got 500 rebate only!

I am currently using Xtreme Vision on my Honda City V-Spec for the low beam. The light is way brighter than the stock bulbs and does go up to 35m using stock height adjustments. You can adjust it a little higher if you want to extend the brightness further or increase the light fall-off. You will need to use a small spanner to adjust it, there are no screws but bolts for the adjustment. Beware of fake Philips bulbs.

Besides the bulbs, I also installed StiffRing for the subframe. I am now researching upgrades for my car audio.
