Honda sure have a weird way in doing the job. remember this picture? my car missing the 2 clips, both right and left side. apparently, for that slot, they use screw, not clips. I talked with one of the Service Advisor, he agree to give me for free, as he know its a new car.

Then he check the parts area, then he said, they did not have stock for this screw now, then he said need to order.

OK, i understand, then i go back to office. then suddenly he called, said that they can give me the screw today after work. then i ask how can so fast get the screw. he answered...

"nvm, we take the screw from one of the new car"

i was like... wtf... but i accept it anyway, hahaha...

I tested the V specs yesterday. I got to say it is a better buy compare to Vios. Contemplating between the 2 but it is an easy choice after looking at both car.

Overall i like the car with 3 things that i think honda could do better. 1) provide rear disc brake instead of drum 2) the touch capcitive aircond panel is "futuristic" but not responsive enough and i would rather they replace it with mechanical button. 3) the soft material on dashboard, steering and gear knob could look more like a real leather. In my opinion, Vios dashboard material look and feel better.

I am planning to place a booking in 1 week after selling off my current car.

Does it void the warranty if we change the rim (same size)? It doesnt look nice. I prefer the previous gen rim.

Just to add on, I didnt see the boot cover on V-Spec test drive car as well. Doesn't really bother me when i check the boot yesterday.

I am not sure whether that would be a good idea (like curi sales from own colleague). The male salesman very helpful. I just hope that i get the same discount, free gift, etc also when i place my order. smile.gif

Plan to do soundproofing for 4 doors and change RIM. Hope doesnt affect the warranty.

Pandan Indah audio accessories shop can mod the video playback without the need to pull handbrake. (next to Alliance Bank Pandan Indah). RM60 and according to the man, it won't void the warranty.

waze - Alliance Bank Pandan Indah. The shop is just right next to it. According to the guy, it is simple wiring only. I havent gotten my car yet. I am in the midst of transferring/selling my current car before placing booking for new city.

I went there today to remove my 2-Din player, to give it away to a friend before selling off the car.

IMO, audio accessories shop tend to know what they are doing. I dont think they would just cut the wiring.

@Razorboy - 2 things here.

1st - Getting the player to mirror our phone which iq_myst got it working with HDMI cable.

2nd - Getting the player to continue playing while vehicle is moving. Apparently Honda only allow the player to play movie when vehicle is in stationary and also handbrake pull up. If i got to guess, this has to do with safety and could be part of compliance.

So what we need to do is to tweak the 2nd part of it - someone DIY it here and also i think audio shop will be able to help.

with item 1 and 2 tackled, the big screen player will provide more usability smile.gif

Very nice rim you got there. If you dont mind, how much is it?

Usually reverse camera can get proper one for below RM300 bucks. Do they charge you Rm600 because of the "complicated" installation or the camera itself worth Rm600? I installed 2 before and never need to pay anything more than Rm300 (good quality image, even at night).

With RM600 total, do they enable the video playback without the need to pull handbrake?

According to my buddy that operate a tint shop, Vkool among the best. If you have the budget and always drive under hot sun, can consider this brand. Price on the high side.

good thing is that if not satisfactory, my friend will change for me. I rarely drive under hot sun so tint will not make much different to me. I am going for security tint this time round.

I prefer to run my car tyre with lower pressure than recommended since i usually drive alone.

32/30 will cause the ride too bumpy and less comfort.

I have been running it around 28/29 for all 4 tyres (Michelin XM2).

New ride i will change to Michelin Pilot PS3. Original tyre will trade in.

dont forget once you tyre spin, it will generate heat and usually tyre pressure will increase abit. I think dont go above 30. Too bumpy.
