So yesterday I had a gathering with my friend and as usual we had steamboat at my place. Not sure how but our conversation went to the realm of spooky encounters.

So one of my friend told me that back then (when he was still a student of UUM or something) he was living in a dorm sharing a room with 4 others. The layout of the room is simple, 2 double decker beds and 2 cabinets. The placement of the cabinets is aligned with the beds. Meaning their feet will be facing the cabinets when they sleep.

So there was a night when 3 of the guys were asleep and there's this one guy who had trouble sleeping. And he was distracted by a slow subtle 'thumping' sound (the dorm and campus are surrounded by forest, so you can imagine how quiet it can be at night). He opened his eyes for a bit out of frustration that he couldn't sleep and as his eyes glanced by the cabinet facing him, his heart rate went crazy. He saw an old lady sitting on a cabinet with her legs swinging slowly hitting the cabinet causing the 'thumping' sound.

After seeing that mindfocking shit, like how we all would do, he pretend to be asleep. Little did he know, he heard a faint vibrating voice, whispering in Cantonese.



"THERE ARE 4 PERSONS IN THIS ROOM"
"3 ARE ASLEEP"
"1 IS NOT"

      I had goosebumps

lol anyway after that night, the top of the cabinets are never empty, they'll fill up that space with numerous objects to fill up all empty spaces...

normal hostel folklore la.
this girl name azizah. piap piap with her bf then got pregnant.
she give birth inside dorm. shortly after, she lock her baby in locker before commit suicide.

..when you are sleeping alone in dorm, like when everyone gone home in the weekend leaving you alone;
you can sometimes hear baby crying in locker, knocking and scratcingthe locker from inside, and sometimes got little girl voice crying begging you to let her out from locker. and azizah, sometimes come visit her dorm where she used to live to sleep on vacant bed.
the story of cos is inconsistent, in my lower secondary hostel,azizah said to commit suicide by hanging herself on big tree at back of hostel, then teknik version she suicide on toilet.
and also when i come home, 3 other my sibling from different school come with their own azizah story. but the main storyline is same.

okay not trying to vroom here, as every race got their own ghost story and stuff

but i wonder why malays always got this story of kena rasuk? i dont understand, even newspaper got write an column about it (eg. 40+ students in SMK <insert area> kena rasuk)

my malay friends say usually cause iman x kuat la, but whats the story behind it? mohon explanation

Well, i think this is an urban legend also at boarding school. The story macam ni.

Kat skolah dulu bilik air asrama kat hujung blok. Dalam bilik air tu ada satu tempat khas nak cuci baju. Ada sorang mamat ni suka basuh baju time malam2. So ada skali tu time pulang bermalam (boleh balik rumah) tapi since dia ni duk jauh tak balik la. Ada la few guys yg stay. So malam tu dia pon g la basuh baju dia. Dalam pukul 12-1 a.m. tgh2 basuh tu tiba2 ada sorg masuk. "Oh nak basuh baju jugak ke?"
"Haah" jawab yg baru masuk tu
"Bagus jugak ada teman bual. Xde la boring sgt. Haha"
"Iye" jwb dia lagi
So, diorg pon berbual la. Tp bdk yg baru masuk tu x byk ckp.

Suddenly, berus mamat tu terjatuh. So dia pon tunduk la nak amek. Time tu la mamat tu nmpk rupa2nya budak yg baru masuk tu takde kaki!
Bila dah nampak tu..menggigil la mamat tu. Dia pon terus kemas2 n nak keluar.

"Eh dah nak balik ke" tanya budak tu.
"Haah..dah habis basuh, tp igt nak jemur esok lah." Jwb mamat tu.
"Owh...dah habis ke.....dah tau?" Tanya budak tu.

Mamat tu terus lari tak cukup tanah. Esok demam. Lepas tu dah tak cuci baju malam2.

That "big nail" is known as 9-inch nail, or "coffin nail". That ghost want to stick that coffin nail into your heart means she wants to take your soul, for whatever reason you need to go to temple and ask, and maybe they can find ways to "halang" that ghost to come to hammer the nail into your heart again.
