Sorry, did not browse through the entire 116 pages.

Can anyone recommend an application that is able to browse like Nokia Gallery image viewer ? i.e. scroll to view each picture in full screen ?

Yes, database/text file is the same. Obviously, without the correct application software for the OS, the database is useless.

Comparing Nokia camera phone:

N81 = 2 MP only, normal lense, LED flash, No Autofocus ?

N82 = 5 MP, carl-zeiss lense, Xenon flash, Auto-focus

If it is signed, then use PC Suite -> Install applications icon
Follow common sense from there.

If it is not signed, then you need to signed the .sis file first, which is very messy right now.

Anyone has any idea whether S60v3 has any software similiar like Windows Mobile or PocketPC ActiveSync Remote Display ? Where you can control the device screen from your PC using mouse/keyboard ?

Try to enable GPS only and disable all (A-GPS, network based, etc.) somewhere in menu -> tools -> connectivity -> gps data -> options -> positioning settings

Are you using malsingmap / nokia map or something else ?

Only tick Integrated GPS.
Un-tick / un-check the rest.

Nokia Maps is using "Nokia Maps" map.
GMXT can use malsingmap/mapking map.

Be clear on the "engine/application" and the "map" itself.
engine/application = Nokia Maps, GMXT, etc.
map = Nokia Maps map, malsingmap, etc.

For malsingmap, you need to provide at least 2x POI or contribution. No free lunch.

Hmm... I think you are still using Nokia Maps, which requires purchase if you want to use the Voice Navigation.

I didn't do a lot of test and R&D with Nokia Maps. I tried the 3-days Voice Navigation feature, then abandon it for navigation. From what I notice, without the Voice Navigation (need to pay), even with mute/silent voice also... navigation won't work.

I can share to you, but it won't work in your mobile device. The map is locked based on each unique GPS ID (something like MAC Address, but for GPS).

Everyone has to contribute and follow the steps sweat.gif

FYI, Malsingmaps moderators are busy, and they might take from 1 day to 2 weeks to reply to you as stated in their FAQs. Be patient and don't spam them, else they will blacklist you. After all, it is still a FREE map and they only need your 2x POI contribution for it.

My registration took 2 days for them to acknowledge, and 1 day for them to give me my code after contributing, which I deem very fast and efficient. Maybe at that time, the moderator was not that busy/loaded.

Based on limited info you give, can be due to many reason:
1) SMS in Phone memory is faster than memory card
2) If you have too many SMS (Inbox, folders, Sent, etc.) folders, it will slow down a lot.
3) Latest firmware ? (might be slower/faster)
4) Compare setting with your friend's phone. Same N95 ? 8GB ?

Yes, install Nokia Software Updater in PC, connect h/p to PC and follow the instruction.

Note: Everything will be gone, remember to backup all data first !

Did you try switch off the phone and switch on again ? Gallery should auto-refresh it.
