ok the conclusion i didnt buy AP so i went ahead to get original S650 .. between AP and ORI SME (only company INGRAM is the distributor) is quite alot .. from system, hardware, warranty of course

huh? how define slightly weaker wifi ?? like connection on and off problem?

Weaker wifi [home wifi or public wifi]  For me I don't use public wifi.

using this phone for 3 weeks now, took to Hong Kong and use for 1 week @ Disneyland and all, the camera performance there was great, the battery life is good, lasts about a day or 2 depending on usage, 3 days max without turning on data.

tip : once you change the camera setting to 8mp it will always stay at 8MP (good job lenovo)

to those who havent bought this phone : please buy the ori set, i bought mine for 599 with screen protector and ori casing, the ori set has much better cellular quality then the AP set. i bought the A850 then changed to this, and so fa this is the better choice ( better camera quality and can set default storage to external memory )

If you're asking about whether the original set is available here, it is, I got mine at 1Gadget for 599, they have the AP set for 499.

If you're asking about the difference between both, the original set is a release of the phone specifically made for the country and warranty is covered by the manufacturing company (in this case, Lenovo Malaysia ) likewise the AP set is a release made for a country besides where you are staying, (in this case Malaysian AP sets are usually from china) and warranty is only covered by the dealer / company you bought the phone from.

haha it's alright, I was reading your earlier posta and was wondering why you asked this haha sokay, no harm done. And actually they do have the original model here for the A850, RM 699 if I'm not mistaken.

yeah, just checked my receipt. the screen protector wasn't included sorry about the wrong info but yeah 599 original set with original case, ill post pictures tmr,packing stuff for school now haha you're welcome, I'm happy to help.

Here is a tutorial to flash VIBEUI ROM running KitKat (4.4.2) on Lenovo S650 :-
If ur current ROM is ROW , follow 01-22
If ur current ROM is CN , follow step below 05-22
If ur current ROM is VIBE, follow step 13-22

Download all items below :-
1.Flash_Tool
2.S650_S119_131014
3.VRoot
4.TWRP_v2.6.3.0_CN
5.4.4.2_GApps
6.SuperSU_v1.94
7.VIBEUI_V1.5_1415_3_DEV_S650_NK_W_A291

Copy item 5,6,7 into ur ext sdcard

Install USB drivers 1st...


How to Flash...


01. Off ur hp and take out the battery
02. Extract and Flash "S650_S119_131014-Lang_Fix"
03. Once finished, close flash_tool app and disconnect usb cable
04. Insert battery and turn it on, let it boot once
05. Root using "VRoot"
06. Install "MobileUncle MTK Tools" from Play Store
07. Off ur hp and take out the battery
08. Run flash_tool again
09. Extract and Flash "TWRP_v2.6.3.0_S650_CN"
10. Press F9 and answer YES (Don't press F8)
11. Once finished, close flash_tool app and disconnect usb cable
12. Insert battery and turn it on
13. Click 10x "Build Number"
14. Enable "USB debugging"
15. Reboot in Recovery via "MobileUncle MTK Tools"
16. Wipe dalvik cache , cache and data
17. Install "VIBEUI_V1.5_1415_3_DEV_S650_NK_W_A291"
18. Install "GApps"
19. Install "SuperSU"
20. Wipe dalvik cache and cache again
21. Reboot
22. Once ur hp boot, press + for English

List of apps can be disabled in Titanium Backup :-
