What phone are you using? For NOKIA 6680, there have an Instant Messenger application built inside the phone, all you need to do is, set up a proper settings then you can access MSN, YIM etc.

It's a Symbian third party application that will change the phone fonts system, thus you may able to view or write chinese language in your phone.

As I know, there are 3 of them, namely Chinese Star v8.6 and Q9 and Chinese Input.
