QUOTE(blu3chip @ Feb 5 2006, 04:41 AM) your welcome QUOTE but where can i obtain the memory card reader? you cant look around the garage sales...some people are selling cheap memory card readers QUOTE also, ive decided to get a larger storage capacity memory card for my phone. how big? QUOTE is there any way i can copy my entire data from my current one to the new card? im not sure.i think it can be done. when u buy your new card, put it into your phone. your phone would format the card to your phone's format, then you can take out the card, and put it into a card reader, and then place all your previous folders into it. when i got my new card,i made a mistake of transfering all my folders straight away. i consequently got an error, and had to reformat QUOTE and another question is, will all the memory card's be compatible with my phone? what phone are you using? |

QUOTE(blu3chip @ Feb 5 2006, 04:41 AM) mgsrulz: thanks for the help, but where can i obtain the memory card reader? U can buy card reader from handphone shop or computer shop, if u wan a card reader for MMC/SD series onli(MMC, RSMMC, SD...), it should be cheap, u can get 1 for below RM30. If u wan a all in one card reader(can read MS series), d price will be higher then. also, ive decided to get a larger storage capacity memory card for my phone. is there any way i can copy my entire data from my current one to the new card? and another question is, will all the memory card's be compatible with my phone? If i'm not wrong, u r using a N70 as u told b4, rite? N70 suports DV-RSMMC.... This post has been edited by Dr@gon: Feb 5 2006, 04:06 PM |

RSMMC is not compatible with N70.
For N70, u need to use DVRSMMC which later renamed to MMC Mobile. DVRSMMC and RSMMC both have the same physical appearance... Make sure u get the correct memory cards for your phone... |

Try change your msg path to your old card.
Then all your msg will be saved at c:/system/mail. Just copy this folder back to your new card and it's done... |

Pip_X: my old phone is not a symbian. its a 6100, and ive managed to retrieve the sms-es out from it already and they're currently stored in my pc. all i need is to enable my phone to display its inbox when i connect it into the pc.
