QUOTE(storm88 @ Aug 16 2014, 01:27 PM) y50's default wifi has lower reception capability Hmm...I see. thanks for the response. Anyway, I think the problem has been reduced. I switch to firefox and the number of broken pages have reduced. Maybe Google chrome was the problem? I'm not sure.

QUOTE(shanky0 @ Aug 16 2014, 05:05 PM) Hmm noone is talking about the RM4,699 version with HD IPS screen, is it worth the extra RM600-700 for it? The stock screen doesn't impress me too much based on my reading of this topic. I was reading some comments about the UHD model on notebookreview forum. Some users did not like the IPS display on that model. Some users mentioned it was an improvement over the basic model. However, I am not sure if it is worth the money. I would say no because you can buy the basic model and change the screen yourself for half the price. But, you won't get the 'touch' feature.

QUOTE(Nescafe3in1c @ Aug 15 2014, 03:21 AM) my y50 booting too slow, around 100++ sec...my spec is i7-4710hq/8g ram/gtx860m 4g ddr5/1tb satahdd/dos... I install a pirated window 7and all driver is work.. anyone got the same issues ?? same problem when i first power up mine, with only windows and office. seem like the culprit is the 1tb hdd with 5400rpm (maybe even slower than 500gb i suspect). after upgrade to ssd you will feel wonderful that you made a right choice.

The wifi issue is so bad. :'( So many frequent broken pages, so many pages can't load. Damn. I didn't expect it to be this bad.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Aug 25 2014, 03:28 PM) so is it like those external dvd drive which using usb ? Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's an USB type, from the picture below, as you can see that the external ODD is provided and you can see the head of the USB. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Credits to the person who reviewed this!
