I'm having a major issue with my 1.6 fuel consumption.
Recently, every week I pump 25 liter of petrol, can get only 180km city drive.

Even before this, my best achievement pun only 235km when I pump 25 liter.
My car overall mileage is around 7000km now. 

Reading 1.6's owner can achieve 250km ++ makes me wonder what i did wrong.
or maybe i right foot totally bad when accelerating.

during the car is completely stop during traffic jem, the rpm is around 1,200 -1,400.
when i press gas pedal, the rpm indeed raise up till 1.5k and below 2.0.. 

the sound of the engine is quite smooth, no other unusual sound, unless more than 2.5k, then engine sound is noisy.
no jerking issue for the moment.
however i did realise that when i release the gas pedal, my car will break a bit without pressing the break pedal.
quite new behaviour for the car. before this, dont have this kind of thing.
i indeed do the same thing, since ramai bagi advice just like you.
but didnt really work for my car.
