QUOTE(iiam @ Feb 25 2014, 11:07 AM) Hi guys, I'm having a major issue with my 1.6 fuel consumption. Recently, every week I pump 25 liter of petrol, can get only 180km city drive. Even before this, my best achievement pun only 235km when I pump 25 liter. My car overall mileage is around 7000km now. Reading 1.6's owner can achieve 250km ++ makes me wonder what i did wrong. or maybe i right foot totally bad when accelerating. Any advise please That's quite high even for 1.6l. You jam alot ka?

QUOTE(iiam @ Feb 25 2014, 12:22 PM) 20 minutes traffic jem in Sekolah Aminuddin Baki every weekdays i saw his post saying he's heavy foot. Maybe the daily jam is affecting your FC. The easiest way to gauge if your driving is the cause of your high FC, is to install a OBD2 scanner with the torque app on a smartphone and monitor the realtime FC while you drive. Ayam relatively heavy foot je, not as heavy foot as r3apers who drive 4AT like CVT

offtopic question: If a customer sends his car to SC to repair some stuffs, after repair and delivering, if the customer doesn't ask then the service advisor is not obliged to explain exactly step-by-step what was done right? eg. first we remove this, then we remove that, then we disconnect this and that etc. etc.....
What if something happened during the repair, such as repairing the steering and the driver airbag accidentally deploy, but they fix everything back and make it seem like nothing happened? is the SA obliged to inform the customer?

QUOTE(TitanRev @ Feb 25 2014, 02:27 PM) Correct procedure is when customer comes in requesting for service or checking. SA will jog down the matters into a JS (JobSheet). Then SA need to go to the car and inspect 1st then come back to customer and inform he/she what they will do. Change what stuff if it's service. If it's problem, they need to check 1st, after confirm call to customer to inform he/she what is the problem and what need to be changed and is the thing under warranty or not. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « SA won't tell you how the work procedure or step by step stuff because that one they also refer to manual and is consider company's private information.
As you asked, WHAT IF something happens accidentally during the repair. like your example airbag deploy. Now the technician will need to inofmr to his superior eg. the lead technician (supervisor la). Then need to ask why the incident happen (most probably due to technician error, skip procedure loh..no disconnect battery) then supervisor need to inform SA, SA need to inform customer. Then customer sure hoo haa hoo haa very angry one...who won't be..then SA need to nego with customer how to solve the problem because customer sure angry mah car need to stay in workshop wait for new steering. Then SA need to inform the boss and order new parts but the technician will need to foot the bill la....because he didn't follow procedure mah....
There are occasions where a technician do something wrong and not inform the supervisor also geh...and hope the customer won't find out...example dismantle dashboard...I can tell you 70% chances you will lose 1 or 2 screws that hold the dash after they fix back (some 3 to 4 screws also have)...or a few clips missing or they scratch something, or break a few clips....this things are hard to avoid unless owner stand there from start to finish the work....because all these after fix back cannot see mah....
Sometimes the supervisor also kao tim kao tim with the technicians geh....example they break something then tell customer "when we open your bonnet we saw this broken" (actually they broke themselves.) You know loh how many Malaysian driver actually check their engine every week or take a video or picture of the engine bay before sending in to the workshop. By that time, you want to say it's not broken, but no evidence to show, how to argue. That's why I have a habit of taking pictures of the engine areas, the sensors or record a video with all the engine sensors or stuff that might come into contact with the technician when he do repair job so if he really so bad luck damage anything I still can show him picture "see, I took this before send in to repair" But such thing rarely happens as it depends on the technician that is working on your car..whether he's playing playing when doing job or serious....
Still, the technician that is doing their job is the key....if they have the mindset of responsibility then everyone won't be so paranoid. But then let's say the customer just drop off the car and go to work, then airbag deploy during repair but they manage to fix everything (new steering, vacuum the cabin, febreze summore, fire the technician etc...), then the regular blur blur customer won't know right? In this case, does the SA still have to inform the customer? since they already replace with new parts and as far as the customer is concern when he/she come collect the car, it was just a regular service, he had no idea at some point his cabin was filled with airbag dust. QUOTE(TitanRev @ Feb 25 2014, 03:34 PM) Dares, have to if according to procedure but some scare more problem if tell customer so won't tell. Because you change something without the customer's knowledge. QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Feb 25 2014, 03:45 PM) My opinion is have to tell because it can be seen as tampering with the customer property even though it could be a mistake causing it. Nanti they claim triggering the airbag was one of the steps in the process
