Hi all,
Salam 1 Malaysia (LOL).

Alright, as we inching closer to CNY celebration, my office will be having a party,
and encouraged us all to wear Chinese traditional clothes.

So question would be, if it is Cheongsam for the ladies, then what do the Chinese lads wear?

Wondering; where could I find stores selling samfu at a reasonable price?

I dunno man. Haven't worn one of those since I was 5. I think you can have one tailor made. Price will probably depend on the fabric.

Tailoring? However, it may be a tad late to go for tailoring, as the party is this Monday, hehe...

Samfu is seldomly sold in shoppping complex (i.e Jusco, Parkson) ?

You can find a Samfu shop in Midvalley lower ground, opposite the burger king.

If I remember correctly, it starts from around rm100 - 200. Quality is good, the few ones I have is still looking good til today.

Else, you can just go those wedding shops and rent it as they carry it for the usual chinese wedding photography session.

Hi TS. If u can go to Mid Valley, the ground floor have 2 temporary booths selling chinese traditional wear. The one near MPH/ Burger King is called Chinatown Classics.

In Central Market there is a shop called Loh Tim Kee. http://www.lohtimkee.com.my/contact.php Their shop got stock stuff that is not listed in the website.

Else there is this

This place can tailor make to your choice. But cost more than ready made one.

If u going this weekend, there are few choices at hypermarkets like Giant and Aeon. In Aeon/ Jusco, they have some designs to choose from for CNY.

Most places does not stock the chinese caps. And if they do, its either too colorful or size is not there. I know Chinatown Classics and Loh Tim Kee definitely stocks it. But you will not be able to match it with whatever u have. Black with jade is hard to come by.

I think I'll just attend the event with the samfu that I bought.
That, and a hand fan, hehe!

The rest (in particular, the chinese caps) may not be necessary due to the constraints.

Many thanks all for the help,
Much appreciated!
