Has anyone tried these rubbers before? It looks promising and reviews are generally positive, especially in terms of price-to-performance.

thanks for the heads up.

possible to elaborate further on your experience? if possible some comparisons to other tires especially ones you used?

what is your car model as well? so we can perhaps tell what "powerful/big cars" are not suitable smile.gif

had 195/55/15 T1Rs on my EG Hatch.... good for street use... wet driving 140km/h on highway perfectly fine...dry oso pretty decent.... taking corners oso not too bad. quite comfy

utterly horrible for track (SIC) though. soft sidewall and grip levels are not too good... most obvious felt at T1.... tire feels like wanna pop off the rims and my rear was "twitchy"....understeer oso pretty bad

as opposed to the 205/50/15 595 RSR... immediately driving out the shop can feel the difference in tire wall stiffness even at the same PSI.... RSR definitely stiffer. and on track....definitely grips better... tire didnt feel like wanna pop off.... rear wasnt twitchy... and grip was great. still had understeer...but greatly reduced.

all suspension components are the same.. bars remain the same.. the only diff between those 2 mentioned track outings were tire and rims n brake pads.

And what tires you're on now which doesn't fish tail anymore in the wet, with ESP off, on your CLK240? Interested to know.

i have T1Rs at the back and DRB at the fronts on a fiesta 195/50/16

T1R has soft sidewalls, good for nice wafty comfy but feels less secured when you get used to harder sidewalls (at least CPC2 is stiffer)

Water performance is great if hit a puddle at around 60
