will this affect the speed of download/upload?

From what i have seen, many sites do reccomend to turn it off.I personally turn it off and see slight speed increase.So, why not give it a try..

but i enable it can get 58kbps, but i will try to c if can further improve or not.

it takes time for me to see the improvement...i did that port-forwarding thing and disable the uPnP, at first 20 minutes, nah...this won't work, after i left my system running torrent quite a while with uPnP disable, i see much improvement...

or he have made something to his modem till he can use the upnp port-mapping to get speed...

how to check my download speed in http?

i check it in my router. so how do i cheeck my current dl speed?

try download any file in any website
or juz do speed test in other website (but not the tmnuts website)

ask your uncle google where to test speed if you dunno where to test it...

i serious hope that the developer of BitComet come out a stable version which higher than 0.70 as i really want to use their latest function...

Well, you would have to wait.Currently i cant really recommend the newer version due to some bugs available..Anyway, i do realise my BitComet takes a while before it was up to speed again.It was like when i first start it, the speed was very low and if i keep it on for a few moments, the speed will start to pick up until it burst the meter and i cant even surf the net anymore..Running at about 50+kb for 512MB line..

From what i remember the new version has a function to set the limit of half open connection and TCP
This problem mostly happen to me as well as the download speed start to pick up as also the number of TCP started to increase. When the number of TCP increase so the respond time for browsing or anything else will be extremely slow... So basically i try close my download when i want to surf or would surf when the torrent has very low number of TCP connected

i think just a proper setting should do the trick, as when i bt 5xkbps, i still can browse my web with 2 browser in same time with a smooth speed.

u use streamyx 512kbps package rite?
so ur MAX dl speed is 512Kbps/8 = 64KB/s
n ur MAX upload speed is 256Kbps/8 = 32KB/s

Guys, can any1 help me with this. My comet is not working. I dont know y. When i click start, it wil download and show green arrow. But after 5 mins, it will turn to a X and stop downloading. I have tried to degrade from 0.77 to 0.76, but prob still occur. Bsides, i have try some torrent also. All also like tat.... PLs.. help me!!!

you selcect file to download is 0 Byte from that torrent
maybe thats why it turn to red cross

when i us different client to download the same torrent task
it will show the red cross too

Use version 0.70 which is certified to be stable by many users
version 0.71 - 0.77 is not stable to use yet and have a lot of bug issue

Ya.... I did selected few files to bt. Coz, im downloading hongkong drama series. As u noe, streamyx's speed is like turtle. So, i plan to download partial by partial. The prob oni started today...

if like that, then it mean that it is 0.77 bugs...

i downgrade back to 0.76 after a day try of 0.77
thats why i dunno any bugs of 0.77
juz think that it maybe got bad upload......


but last time when i download a file
a japan ip that using 0.77 upload 20+kbps to me!!!
maybe thats juz my illusion that 0.77 have bad upload when i seeding......
i want the speed he download a file via http
not the line package...
