the speed at first was like 40-50kbps which is acceptable.. but now it stucked at 81.7% and the speed is 0kbps.. is it because of the ratio between dl and upl?

and the 0.0% is waiting for me to seed for them izit?
*
ya, they waiting for seed
the version you are using is v0.70 or lower??
try check is the local peer (219.95) have the piece you want or not
if he didnt have the piece you want, they you need to download from other country peer
which is very very hard to download from them now...

Using Bitcomet in Vista now, no problem some stuff with speed around 80-120KBps even though the TCP/IP hack is not applicable to Vista
*

Wei Ben, who told you that 0.82 is much terrible.
See my attachment , I manage to download from local and remote.
*
same with me
we can only connect with Malaysia and Japan
the 24kBps and 12kBps is from Japan...

and both of them also use BitComet...
if im not mistaken, is DHEv2

Yup, when I read the Japan news , the previous connection peer from global has been reset it mean no peer and seed. Those we connected is the tracker reseed the popular torrent file.If you are downloading old or not very popular file , it's very hard for you to connect to peer even you open it for a week.

Tan Pang,
I wonder how they use DHEv2 since they isn't using bittyrant.
*
oops
then i am wrong tongue.gif
but that news tell us 'why we can connect to Japan peer'?? unsure.gif

everyone in here can try to download something that Japanese might like it
then see is there many data you get from them

QUOTE(WingKalimdor @ Feb 1 2007, 08:21 PM)
Whatever dude...
Everybody got his own favourite and we cannot force them.
Good luck in exam keke.....
*
this thread start by asking 'what version of BitComet is the best'
but then we found the answer is vary in every user...

therefore, everyone better try all of the version 1 by 1 to find the BEST version

except for Vista user
coz they juz have v0.81 and v0.82 to choose only tongue.gif

since u can log on here, I suppose the pc/laptop u r using already hav a static IP???

or u r connecting thru a dhcp network?
*
log on in here didnt need static IP sweat.gif

@yanio9
1. try go to your "Network Connections" under Control Panel
2. then open the properties of the Local Area Network
3. after that, at the "This connection uses the following item", click on "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)"
4. click Properties

now you maybe know what you should do... icon_rolleyes.gif
set a static IP at there
IP address : 192.168.x.x
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.1.1 (usually is 192.168.1.1, some router will be at other no.)

Preferred DNS server: 202.188.0.133
Alternate DNS server: 202.188.1.5

the word x can be any no. between 1-255

I'm using bitcomet version 0.83.. as it crashes very very often and consumes alot of memory sometimes... I'm going go back home tonight and test out version 0.84.. hope it wouldn't crash as frequent as 0.83...
*
i have update in first post that you using v0.84...
and you are the 50th member that on the list!! rclxm9.gif

btw, why the v0.83 comsume high memory?? hmm.gif
i tot the "auto recycle memory" function should work well and reduce the memory consumption...

Added on February 9, 2007, 8:14 pmreverted back to 0.79 and as expected it does not crash as easy as the newer version rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

i will update that link in the first post

becoz i afraid that it have spyware inside
many people report that BitComet has been detect as spyware, but in fact, they download at other website which maybe got problem inside...

some question here,
if i set the upload data to no limit,it's good or not???

becoz it seem to be my download data also increase,
if i set it to limit for 3kbps,
look like my downoad data also limited,
why???
*
limit the upload speed is good, becoz it wont choke your download bandwidth
i think i have said it many times
but if you limit to 3kBps only
then you better dun P2P anymore, this is very very selfish!!!

Since no people post the result of bitcomet 0.84...
The result is terrible and slow
*
i have update the first post that you are using v0.70

btw, that 35kBps also slow??
for me, the speed aledi ok

but can we close the 'preview' function??
i think this function maybe will make the file piece we want to download follow in order, which will affect the download speed....

Edit: change back the WingKalimdor used BitComet version back to v0.84...
and he also said that the speed has been increased after open an hour

Thank for making the change.
I currently testing the speed of bitcomet 0.70, 0.79 ,0.82 and 0.84 and I found out :-

0.70 is laggy but stable(consume alot of memory),
0.79 easily crash but stable,
0.82 need a long times to catch the port but very fast at night but not stable
0.84 still testing.
*
easily crash but stable mean what??
why it is easily crash, but you still can said it is stable?? sweat.gif

can elaborate more??
