Me me!

Recommended at least 6 ft. Lol. But Im starting with a 4ft tank then once it gets bigger then I'll change to a bigger tank. Can save some $$$ in the meanwhile.

Thanks, mate! laugh.gif

Do you think keeping a gar in a 200 gal tank with a large school of neon tetra would work?? wink.gif

instead of neon tetra, better subtitute them with seluang or any other schools of cheap malaysian rasboras

I don't want the gar to makan it - food is another issue.
The tetra for visual purposes only.

i dont mean it as a subtitute for food, yup as a visual purpose.. just neon is a bit to pricey if they ended up being food for your gar.
I like to use malayan rasboras for my oscar, one is because they like to school which is a pretty sight,
second is they are cheap and can be replaced if a few of them are missing in the next few days.
but it is all up to the owner him or herself.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Yessir! I just thought it would look very cool to see a huge giant fish swimming among a school of tiny fish.

200gal tank is what, 5 ft? 6ft? Ample space for your gar.  wub.gif

I'm not exactly sure - but based on seeing online, I suspect 200gal is more like 7-8 feet. icon_rolleyes.gif

Guys, I'm conducting a survey - commonly we buy fish from fish shop but would you think it's convenient if there was a way to get high quality fish, same as market rate (or maybe lower), and hand delivered to your house (if within Klang Valley)?

What about aquariums and fish supplies?

Do share your thoughts!

I have a red tail catfish !
with a bunch of other fishes like 6 inch pacu x4
Red tail kelah, dunno what name actually
Alligator gar 6 inch
2xspotted gar 4inch
1 silver Rowan's 8 inch
And a bunch of the cheap catfish for feeding one, but giant size 8inch +

What I want to say is, my red tail catfish rarely get to eat cox the other fish sapu everything at surface top before sinking down to him..... So hard to feed him
That's so sad...

Yeah lo, RTC can hand feed - mine will grab market prawns direct from my hand. Also eats blood worms - refuses to eat pellets.
