QUOTE(antzz @ Jan 26 2014, 09:43 PM) Maybe Genie is not compatible with the other angelfish (forgot what named you gave it). I only have one angel left. The lungfish managed to eat the other 4. Oh well. Lesson learnt. No more ornamental fish in the predator tank regardless of how sluggish the predator fish may seem. QUOTE(LuQEE @ Jan 27 2014, 09:21 PM) when you mean dwarf snakehead, which sp lol? so many sp too choose from, even the blue ones. Luqee is poisoning people again. like aimank_88 posted, you can get bleheri cheaper during in the middle of the year in LFS nearby sg.buloh nurseries or AI. but you can also get these there on certain month. Pics are not mine, just to share these beautiful fishes. Credits goes to the owners. Channa Gachua (pernah nmpk sekali, but dunno if its really a gachua one.) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Channa Stewartii (slalu ada, as low as RM28 sometimes..) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Channa Stewartii sp. var. True Blue MoonBeam Galaxy (ni awesome if you like blue) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Channa Andrao sp. (so far i never seen this sp before yet) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I never realised how beautiful the coloration of channas. |

Oh, I was at Irene Aquarium just now (stocking up feeders for CNY), there is a huge, gigantic, enormous, gargantuan Channa maculate. It's about 2 ft long. Rm350.
Also spotted a gulper catfish, roughly 10 cm going for RM 520. The tigrinus are still there. I hope there is a CNY sales with 70% discount. |

QUOTE(bluswhitehat @ Feb 5 2014, 12:51 AM) Yessir! I just thought it would look very cool to see a huge giant fish swimming among a school of tiny fish. Unless your gar is at least 4ft long, all your tetras will be gone. I sometimes dump about 20 feeder guppies into my aba-aba tank just to see if they will survive. The fella is 3ft now. The number reduced to about 12, then the following week 8. It is still able to catch them. In the end there were only 2 - 3 guppies left. I would recommend cichlid type fishes as they are smarter and faster. I bought feeder tilapia, there are still 5 survivors (It's been 2 weeks now. Also, black tilapia is somehow much smarter than the red tilapia). You would need to provide some decoration / driftwood for the small fishes to hide. I'm not exactly sure - but based on seeing online, I suspect 200gal is more like 7-8 feet. QUOTE(byakuya8283 @ Feb 5 2014, 10:03 AM) beerbottle tu aimank ada jumpa kayu yg u nak.... sory for d late replay quite busy in fb forum haishhh I know... so much poison. Will go there one day. |

QUOTE(aimank_88 @ Mar 1 2014, 05:43 AM) Pengenalan Kepada Ikan Terlarang Di Bawa Masuk / Import Ke Malaysia So this means we need to get written permission to keep these fishes? What if a person already has them? And the LFS that sells them? Senarai genus dan spesies ikan dilarang untuk diimport - Serrasalmus/Serrasalmo/Pygocentrus/Catoprian - Pygopristis - Colosomma/Piaractus - Mylossoma - Mylopus/Myleus - Pristobrycon - Myletes Other pics : Pengenalan Kepada Ikan Terlarang di Malaysia I not like these rules. |

QUOTE(aimank_88 @ Mar 5 2014, 01:35 AM) The rules I think had always been there. Just that no enforcement. I dont think its something for us to worry about. Just take it like this, we know the reason why its banned, and since we practice our ethics of keeping fishes by actually not releasing them into lakes n rivers or whatnot, then we should be fine. I think there should be an adoption centre for the fishes. Just like how PAWS / SPCA takes in cats, dogs, rabbits... etc. I wouldn't mind volunteering. |
