Plot
The suspense horror/dark fantasy story is set in Tokyo, which is haunted by mysterious "ghouls" who are devouring humans. People are gripped by the fear of these ghouls whose identities are masked in mystery. An ordinary college student named Kaneki encounters Rize, a girl who is an avid reader like him, at the café he frequents. Little does he realize that his fate will change overnight.

Man, the scene where the main guy scrambling for food inside his apartment was awesome and intense.I hope the studio will continue this kind of quality throughout the season.

the latest ep...kinda disappointing though...
1. mado's death was skipped (not sure if they are going to postpone it or skip the entire thing)
2. kaneki's fighting lesson was rushed quickly...with Yomo only as his mentor...no touka-kaneki interaction... :/
3. bar... kaneki wasn't requested by Itori to investigate the restaurant
4. Restaurant... Fat lady and the other guy (dinner meal) weren't together with Kaneki... Kaneki didn't show off his martial art skills he learnt from books, making him looked like crying baby in the latest ep


The anime is trying to keep the bloody and gory at minimum level...
Seems like it's going end in 12 or 13 eps sad.gif

Touka is so badassssss in the latest episode. Lots of censorship again but I'm getting used to it. I hope they show some epic fight in the next episode. Have always wanted to see Touka's kagune in action.

Despite how rushed the anime is compared to manga...I still enjoyed this show. So much that I wish there is 2nd season, though unlikely.

i see, they re-arranged the order for some of the arcs/stories so it's more exciting on the anime than the manga for Tokyo Ghoul

I only started reading at the point where kaneki was tortured, but it seems the anime cut some parts, in the manga, the one getting choked is different. Still, the ending is okayish for me, probably because i didnt follow it for years like the others not liking the ending.Heheh.

no doubt the most disappointing ending for me, despite how interesting the manga is and the progression is pretty well done too. So many plot holes left.
