Hi
recently i have port in my number to maxis, I giving this number to my father primarily to received call, and sometimes make a short call, my intention is to get the validity 90/365 plan.
Approaching maxis few times and been told the validity 90/365 no longer available to their new register user with the new sim card, in other word all the new sim card will be force to using #hotlink and we can't choose validity 90/365.
Anyone can confirm if this true? I really don't want to port out the line again....

Thanks

bro, try this *100# > Hotlink Specials > Validity > Validity90/Validity365
the charges should be RM8 for Validity90 & RM33 for Validity365

btw, when u port in, did they ask if u wanna become #hotlink or normal hotlink plan?
if you are ported in as #hotlink plan, then u cannot opt for validity 365 already.
try ask maxis if u can change plan if you really desperate for validity 365 but there will be charges for changing plan lohh.... whistling.gif

I am also interested to find out the answer to this for MNP. If you buy the new SIM cards, you definitely cannot subscribe to Validity 365 according to their forum:

They didn't ask if i would want #hotlink or normal hotlink plan.
with that means if for MNP they will just give you #hotlink.
Since they force you to get #hotlink, they don't provide validity 90/365 for the new register.
So if you need validity 90/365, don't consider maxis they won't tell you this service no longer available - even if you ask some of their staff don't even know this.
I had topup RM40 for the purpose of getting 90/365 then only realize this limitation, and i can't transfer my credit to other hotlink user due to less than 6 month registered, RM40 can last for merely 40 days.
RM40 can last for a year if i would able to subscribe to this service.
If i would port out now all my credit will gone.

Better consider some other Telco if you want to have one year validity active.

This is very bad news.
According to this https://new.hotlink.com.my/en/plans/validity-365.html , validity 365 is available for these plana:
Extra Plan
Basic Plan
New Hotlink Plan
New Hotlink Sabah/Sarawak Plan
New Hotlink Kelantan/Terengganu Plan
Social Edition Plan

Are the plans above or they are all replaced by #Hotlink plan? So now only 1 plan #Hotlink plan?
Thanks smile.gif

They are all replaced by #Hotlink plan. I checked at a Maxis branch. If you have an old plan, don't accidentally change it to #Hotlink because there is no option to change back.

Validity 365 is very valuable to me and many people wants it. But it appears Maxis is now just selling #Hotlink so no new accounts will get Validity 365. What a mess considering rival Digi provides this service.

I'm never ever going to change to #Hotlink. The free internet or not.

I faced the similar issue as you as the validity plan is not entitled for new users. So I opted for the #Hotlink plan. To be very honest, I wasn't happy at first with Maxis for not allowing me to get the validity plan, but when I started using #Hotlink I was totally satisfied! The free basic internet is really good and the calls I make are like the same rates for all networks. I do call often and I don't pay much so I guess its a good plan even if your dad uses it. I save alot so far, so I guess it wasn't a bad move after all. Maybe you can check this link out http://new.hotlink.com.my/en/plans/free-internet.html for further info it helped me understand the plan more.

Hope this helps ! smile.gif

Stop accusing telco like that. If #hotlink plan can subscribe to 365 days then people will abuse the free Internet. It's business so accept it.

People are concerned and interested in keeping the phone number valid and not in the free internet. they could have retained the other plan with the normal features without free internet. then nobody will be able to abuse the Internet under #Hotlink. people expect choices and you sounded like a tool and someone who happily accept anything that is being fed to you.

Even their deactive period for the new #hotlink plan has been changed from 90 days to 50 days.

The Tron network using DiGi base station.. However roaming service is unavailable.

U can try to use XOX Xinxun, switch to XOX automatic 28 months validity account active. The roaming is available to whole world country..
