This tyre is pretty new in the market. Malaysian consumer...alwiz have the mindset. Michelin is d best.
Nothing else....same goes for car...Toyota No 1.

So most of the shop is not carrying this Pirelli...tyre. Furthermore, a lot of Pirelli tyre are made in their China Factory...as oppose to Michelin mostly made in Thailand...

so far 2 of my fren are using....they say NO Bad. So is up 2 u whether u want 2 try out the Pirelli tyre....and mostly...pirelli tyre are normally fitted in BMW n Audi....n Mercedes...I think those owner seldom log in forum and give their view.

Thus u can see less review about Pirelli...

PirelliP1 Cint is more of a comfort and mileage tyre, the treadwear is quite high and even thou is pricey but if you havent use pirelli before you can feel the difference in noise and ride comfort. There are differences in tyre depending on the tyre pattern P1, P7 is more to a comfort tyre its has lots of sipes and curvature, less blocky pattern for example high performance tyre is quite blocky so it will be quite noisy and also the ride comfort depends on the Ratio of the tyre the bigger the rim size the lesser the comfort is. Every tyre has its own characteristic depending on your driving style, Driving condition and the type of car you're driving. My recommendation try it i myself had tested numerous tyre all of them is good but which makes it better it depends on your judgement.

have a nice day ahead guys.

just based on forumer view...straight can tell this tyre is not suitable and kenot go up to 200 km/h?

Every tyre will tell whether what is the limit of the tyre whether this tyre is H or V rating...meaning what is the top speed this tyre can hit!

who said this tyre cannot go up to 200km/h?
what i have in mind is that, this tyre is considered a "softer" tyre, such as Michelin XM2...
not suitable for driver like me which drive aggressively... sweat.gif

i am using this tyre now...
dry grip is excellent...compare to champiro bax 2...
road noise very subjective...if on nice tar road, damn quite...if on bad road, it is noiser than bax 2...

high speed around 110-130 using this tyre cornering before entering ipoh tunnel is damn nice...make the stereng too sensitive...
then high speed 160-180 10-20degree turn is very nice too...

no idea about wet grip yet...lately no rain...

Used this for 1 year plus...so far so good. 40K+ and thread wear still good. i've been using michelin PP,PZero Rosso,Brig RE001,Federel 595 evo,Toyo TR1 and this. all in my 6+ years of my car.

FYI i only change when the tyre really2 worn. choose this because of the wear, and no regret. Abit expensive tho.

The worst is Michelin and Toyo. after 15k botak habis.

Interm of speed it depends on speed rating. 200 is nothing actually, even 220 still ok.

I got quoted P1s for RFT. The price is low due to made in China. I wonder if that's bad being made in China.

Hello, i've changed to this Pirelli P1
per pc is RM350+6% gst = RM371
Size 205/55/R16

First impression, much quieter and comfort than my previous GT Radial Champiro (super noisy tyre).
Less rolling resistance, dry grip is good enough for me as i don't drive fast in Penang island (traffic lights everywhere, short distance ~15km per trip)

I choose this instead of Michelin Primacy 3ST (RM370+6%=RM392) due to Pirelli P1 could last longer KM (as per advise by shop owner), hopefully really can last 40k to 50k KM.

But the boss said, if i already using Michelin Primacy before, he will definitely suggest me to continue with it, as it's quietness and comfort level is better than Pirelli P1.

Hope this sharing helps smile.gif

Actually even the Primacy 3ST should easily last over 50k km. With such small difference in price between the 2, I'd go with the 3ST if I were you. But yeah the P1 should last even longer.

Bro, share your experience on the Federal 595 Evo. Those are wicked looking treads. Heard lots about it. How it compares vs P1.? Cincturato?

Hi Guys,

I owned a Jetta and it comes with Pirelli P7 (Made in Brazil) after 5 years. The style of my driving is city between speed to 0-100KM, i hate following a slow car in front. Highway usually top speed at 160KM. I am very happy with the tyre for the reasons as below.
Tyre spec (205/55/16)
- Good Grip (Both Wet and Dry) I never felt the car perform different on heavy rain or hot day.
- Noise (I dunno how to judge but the engine and the motobike is more nosier while in the car)
- Handling (I am very confident neg. corner at the preferred speed)

The car clocked in 30K mileage (low mileage) and the tyre is 5 years old and is time to replace.

I have been shopping for awhile on tyre to replace the current Pirelli P7 (205/55/16) (Made in Brazil).

I have shortlisted to the following:
1. Michelin PS3 (Top Choice because of recommendation and made in Thailand)
2. Pirelli Cinturato P7 (Second Top Choice because of good sidewall but it was Made in China. If it is not Made in China it would be my top choice)
3. Continental CC5/MC5 (Eliminated because of soft sidewall and mostly recommend Michelin PS3)

The prices:
1. Michelin PS3 (Thailand Made) (RM 355 - excl. GST)
2. Pirelli Cinturato P7 (China Made) (RM 360 - excl. GST)
3. Continental CC5/MC5 (Malaysia Made if i remembered correctly) (RM 360 - excl. GST)

I would love to heard some feedback on Pirelli Cinturato P7 (Made in China) from LowYat folks here. If no good feedback about the it, I might want to go for Michelin PS3 for good record tracking purpose.

Thank You.

I am staying in Penang. Found 2 shops are selling P7 for 205/55/16, One recommended me P7 another one PS3. Another shop told me P7 do not have for 16" tyre in Malaysia.

I have another vehicle equipped with the Conti. CC5. The P1 and CC5 are entry level tyre as I learned lately. I too have the same problem as you experience on P1 for my CC5. Very shaky on high speed, neg. corner is nightmare.

You may check on https://www.facebook.com/PirelliTiresMalaysia/ which i stubmle upon through Google. I just message them to verify if P7 do have for 16" tyre in Malayisa.

I just check out on MICHELIN site @ http://www.michelin.com.my/Products-Servic...ot%20Sport%203#.

There were so many good reviews. Trying to convince myself for PS3. LoL..

Comment from other site who answered my query:
"Actually you already answered your own question. CC5 are entry level, MC5 and P7 mid level and PS3 are UHP tyres and all cost almost the same and since your priorities are more into handling and grip, PS3 is your answer.....lol"

i dont to keep my butt bumpy all the way as my car has quite stiff suspension...
PS3 is harder compound compare to PS3 and CC5....
and i'm not using it for racing...just normal driving...and straight road will speed abit...

My tyre
215/45/17R

What car are you driving? as i understood, pZero is run flat Tyre, if your car not meant for run flat but you using run flat tyre, the ride will be very bumby...!!! between Pzero and P1 ,which one do you highly recommended

Just a Civic FD2, but i do floor it on daily basis. Not recommend pZero, P1 is better. After P1 i use P7 but cracked. After that i use Pirelli Dragon Sport which very good.

i feel the tyre is quite hard.it is durable.and also note that the tyre is made in china.prefer xm2 as p1 quite costly and not worth the price.almost rm 300 a pc.better go for xm2 at around rm 220.just my opinion.

using 195/55/15..same city driving..the 15inch actually crack at the centre of the tyre after 1 year.went to the shop to check.they say no issue.still can use.then i continue using until like 40% then change to michelin xm2.

they say no issue with the tyre.the crack is short line crack looks more like dotted crack line along the centre of the tyre groove.i use until 40% also no issue la.but i quickly change it also to avoid any serious issue.

I used to drive P7, 225/45 R17. They were rather linear at the limit, like... you can feel them lose grip, you can hear them scream nicely, it's nice to control at the limit. However the limit isn't that high, and the tyres aged pretty fast, started to crack early on.

Now on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3, and they have a lot more grip. However when they break away, they do more suddenly. And there's no noise sad.gif
