hi, i'm new here.

currently working in a semicon MNC in penang. plan to job hop and oledi get contacted by another MNC and they offer me oledi. now waiting for medical checkup before sign offer letter. i had work for my current company 1yr++

ok, i have 2 concerns, one is career advancement and another 1 is salary and benefits(duh!, wat else )

Career advancement concern.
My current company lack of concrete objective and less projects for us to do. Even there are projects, those are very minor projects where i think i can't learn things from it.

Most of the experience senior in my current company oledi gone for good. Sometimes need to do a lot of shitty job that not related to technical.

My strength is either low level firmware programming or digital circuit design.
My current job didn't have a specific job, sometimes might be programming and sometimes can chg to pure analog design as well as pcb design.

The MNC that offer me now (softwre engineer) seems to have more dedicated objective and have much more design (yeah, i heard from others) from outlook since they have certain core technology.

Salary & Benefit concern
My current salary around RM2.7k. In my current company i able to claim OT which the amount is based on how much OT i can do. Range from RM200-RM400 but most of the saturday i also need to work and some of the weekdays i need to work late only can get this kind of amount. Benefits are standard, no profit sharing, bonus not fix, but range from 1.3months - 2months.

The new MNC offer me RM3.2k. Benefits included profit sharing based on performance, fix annual bonus 1.5months and EPF contribution (comapny) higher. Since i need to serve 3 months notice which is freaking long, this MNC willing to pay for 1 month and wait me 2 months but need to bond me for half year.

My concern now is now oledi July, few more months i will entitled to increment which make my salary around RM2.9k and year end bonus (not sure how many months). If i jump now, i will lose those. Now my increment from job hopping is not even touch 20% which i consider quite less..



So now in dilemma wnt to jump or not..sorry for the long input..some of the info too long for me to type here..

i think it is too much if ask them to wait get my bonus since im not those very experience

actually, i dun think they need me badly coz if that case, they will help me to pay 3 months instead of 1 month

my new company is a very famous MNC, i think should be quite high turnover.

but i heard from my fren that in this MNC, need to work till 9-11pm everyday.

i dun mine working late coz i also used to practice it now but if everyday really can make me crazy

but if job hop too often, will that harm ur resume?

and actually, i also go for interview for other big MNC but still no reply yet. I afraid that other MNC can offer me better pay and better environment than this MNC.

Anythings that i can do? Coz my fren told me to hold them 1st while try to wait other response


yah, actually i oledi bored with my current company or shud i said i demotivated. One of the main reason that i want to chg company is I feel i just can't motivate myself in this kind of environment. No, i'm not giving excuse to myself.

So, i think to job hop as new MNC give new hope and new hope give new motivation

yah, decision making is important and i lack of this skill.

i oledi make wrong decision and shud i say i make too fast decision to join my current company after i graduate.
