SUPERIOR GAOGAIGAR!
I AM IN A SEVERE STATE OF SADNESS DUE TO NOBODY MENTIONING THIS YET!

edit:
It's about Guy, some cyborg guy who goes around and protect Tokyo from being taken over by Zonders, some alien crap that loves mechanical crap and fuses with them, to become some horrible freakshow of engineering.
Seriously, the series is so awesome, I cannot even describe it in words.Such attempt would be similar to dividing by zero oh shi-. Regardless, a copy pasta from goshouworld:
'What is GaoGaiGar?'
GaoGaiGar is a 49 episode TV series that aired in Japan. It is about a team of true heros who face adversity with BRAVERY, COURAGE and hope and justice. It is about a Giant Robot that harkens back to the great era of the late 70's shows. And it is good to me. Originally aimed at kids for simple toy sales the creators managed to imbibe GaoGaiGar with something special that made it that much more attractive. Could it be the easily recognizable heros? The strange and interesting villians? Or maybe it is the overall package of simple heroics that seemed to be so lacking at it's time of broadcast. Whatever the case may be it became a minor best seller in Japan. If you like a show with fun, action, truth, justice, courage, and transforming robots with hearts of Gold, GaoGaiGar may indeed be for you.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_King_of_Braves_GaoGaiGarBasically, you'll be expecting:
1: BRAVERY and COURAGE!
2: alot of HOT BLOODED YELLING like what Ryoma did in Shin Getter Robo: Armageddon
3: Transformer-like robots (then again, Yusha robot-transform-to-vehicle predates Transformers, go google it up)
4: Alot of awesomeness
5: A superior police car that transforms into a purple f***ing ninja that can combine with a bike and helicopter
6: A tank that transforms into a superior compressed gravity generating hammer (GOLDION HAMMAR!!!!)
7: SYMMETRICAL DOCKING! (yes, GaoGaiGar was the reason for this term)
8: comically funny, but very seriously treated weaponry (an eraser, f***ing glue pencils, toy hammers, screwdrivers, and pliers, yes, PLIERS!)
useless trivia: GaoGaiGar's design, and subsequently Star GaoGaiGar, GaoFighGar, Genesic GaoGaiGar are all done by Kunio Okawara, the same guy who came out with most of the Gundam designs.
\/ happy yet?
