I knew there was a new thread when my email isn't overloaded with updates anymore hahaha.

I'm back guys, and I need some advice. I'm looking for replacement key caps for my Corsair K95, something like this. http://www.corsair.com/us/parts/keyboard-p...-palm-rest.html

Do you know any local sellers, or anyone here makes em?

Thanks.

my 2 years logitech g510 have an important key spoilt already. s since i got some extra cash to spend this month. i decided to go for mechanical keyboard, hoping the keys will be sturdier than membrane type. so i need recommendation on which switch type and keyboard fit me.

1. must have media control keys. especially volume control knob. i always listen to my mp3 while playing.
2. have some macro key. dont need too many. i learnt that i dont use my macro button too much with my g510. 18 macro key is overkill for me haha.
3. must be easy for double tapping. i double tap alot in my games i currently play.
4. i think i would like the clicking sound too.
5. budget : no more than rm 500. the cheaper..the better.

will be going to lowyat plaza this saturday and buy the keyboard
*
Get the Corsair K95 like I did.

-Has media control keys and volume knob.
- Full bank of macro keys on the left side.
- Double tapping can be done easily.
- Cherry MX Red, not much of a click sound compared to MX Brown, but makes a slight.click noise nonetheless.
- SRP RM499

If you can shop from US, corsair do sell them at their webpage.

Else, taobao got, the price roughly the same as what being stated in corsair site too iinm.
*
Nah I've asked around. Corsair wont ship that here. AceCombat tried. Guess I'll have to go taobao and try. Was hoping for local sellers though. Thanks btw! biggrin.gif

I shopping mostly from lowyat.net and so far I can get anything that I want at this site except booze and grass. We got a lot of agent for international shopping. Go to the tradezone, or agent/ forwarding service thread. Use the search button. Eg, you want to buy from Amazon, just search Amazon, spam the thread ask or quotation. Simple as that.

To make it simple, google "strawberrygirl lowyat". She help me buy something from Newegg.

If you utilize all the gimmicks, get the gimmicks keyboard.
If you plan to use the macro and the gimmicks, just get standard layout mech keyboard.
If you not sure you gonna use the gimmicks, get a standard layout mech keyboard.
If you think that the forumer advise doesn't suit your taste, get the gimmicks keyboard so it will satisfied you, until you realize you stuck with crappy ABS.
*
Awesome! Thanks for the heads up man.

But as for the gimmicks, I'm only looking for the WASD key caps man, mot gonna get the entire replacement key caps for the whole board hahaha. But macros I'm definitely gonna use.

Will check out this strawberrygirl. Thanks again!

The rubber WASD and 1234 can be obtain from Taobao. Previously a guy order his replacement and sell his extra spacebar. laugh.gif Who else gonna buy, except same keyboard user.

For me, gimmicks is when the features are underutilized. I knew that RTS and MMORPG gamers sometime heavily depend on this features. If the macro key that you really need, than you should buy gaming keyboard, plus satisfaction of spending money.

Gaming keyboard is not bad (except Razer) IMO. The only drawback for me is the layout itself. Their design indeed cool, and eye catchy. It's just from most of mech kb owner, usually they buy for gaming. In the end, you're addicted to customized them and didn't realized you just spent ridiculous amount for keycaps instead of changing your car tire.

Once a guy think that spending over RM 500 for a keyboard is silly especially TKL, and below that. Why spend more for less? But now, he's in the sillyland, never looking back at 3-headed-snake, the-logical-tech, and Trigonometric-air. True story. brows.gif
*
Yeah, checking at taobao for the key caps and LYN for importers. Will make my decision soon. biggrin.gif

Well, that's why I bought the K95 really. My old Logitech served me well but it was pretty Spartan in features. I don't need fancy stuff like the Switchblade UI in the Deathstalker Ultimate, but a bank of macro keys would do me a whole lotta good.

Hahahah ,well, I'm only gonna pimp it a little that's all. No point customizing the whole thing. Might as well get a custom MKB in the first place. Just that I got a friend selling his day old unit for 380 so why not? tongue.gif

Hahahhaha, I might end up being that guy as well. Some of the keyboards here are just insane. Probably gonna get one when I retire my K95. thumbup.gif

Sigh. If I were to use a buyer and import my Cosair replacement Red Backlit FPS Keycaps+Key Cap Puller + Palm Rest here it will cost me RM96. For just 10 keys. Don't really need the palm rest.

Anyone here can sell red colored replacement keycaps? I'm using a Corsair K95 Cherry MX Red MKB. I need it for my WASD keys and the first six top digits. Preferable with the E Key and Shift as well.

they takut taobao because:-
1) no experience, lazy to find out or try
2) don't trust china stuff
tapi, padahal, most of what you bought locally are from china but at even higher price  doh.gif

I don't even have a credit card or paypal to do any online transactions. The only online transactions I did was bank transfers for LYN purchases. I don't mind going taobao buy even taobao doesnt have the corsair keycaps.

That's why I'm asking if you guys have any that I can use on a K95.

Do corsair K95 come with the keycaps? Why you need replacement now? Already shining?  blink.gif
They banyak takut taobao because of no reason.
*
No the red FPS keycaps are seperate. My board only comes with stock black ones.

O.o Thanks so much for the info.

But I think I may have constructed my sentence wrongly. Plus I forgot to mention some things. First of all, the RM96 was through a Taobao agent who also happens to ship things from the US. That's why I said is I were to use a buyer it would cost me RM96. my bad. blush.gif

Secondly, That is why I was asking if any if any of you are selling keyaps that can fit into my K95. It would be easier from me to to buy it from you.

And again sorry, I though you meant buying straight from Taobao itself, that's why I mentioned I don't have a credit card or paypal.

But again, thanks so much for the extra info. Guess I will have to ask the buyer using the link you sent me. I kept using Corsair FPS Keycaps as a search word maybe that's why nothing showed up.

Yes I know. The person who quoted me was an agent as well. But that was buying from corsair itself. Will look for a Taobao agent now.

Taobao use Alipay, not your credit card or paypal. So, it's simple if we just use the taobao agent forwarder service.
It's less hassle if you buy at taobao. The key caps you want seems very rare to us.  laugh.gif
*
Hmmm. I just though most Cherry MX Red keycaps can be used between different boards. That why I asked because if you have any spare Cherry Keycaps to sell I could use it. Guess I'm wrong there.

Alright, Taobao it is then.

the cherry MX keycaps are all the same regardless of the switch type. as long as it's mx switch keycaps, u can use on any mx keyboard.
even if we have, we sell them in sets and not just the few keys.
*
Oh okay. What sets are you selling? I'm looking for WASD, 1-6, E key, Shift and CTRL keys. If you have a package I don't mind either. Just that I'm liking Cosair's contoured red keycaps.

Edit: I know space bar I need to get original corsair because it's apparently non standard size.

Any cherry mx keycaps should fit in for that WASD. Try to check at heavyarm page. If you want durable, try PBT. But keep in mind no backlited friendly keycaps for PBT (or very rare). Unless you get the corsair replacement keycaps.

You need alpha+mod+tsangan kit
and that doesn't mean you can change your spacebar.
because your spacebar is not universal rclxs0.gif
*
QUOTE(justnits @ Feb 6 2014, 12:54 AM)
you need to get full set red alert with tsangan kit, but u can never change the spacebar if i'm not mistaken.

I know. The damn spacebar has been a contentious point everytime I want to get seperate key caps. But anyhow I just found out the seller only has red keys for the side control buttons. No WASD or number keys. So much for that idea.

Anyways 0168257061, your LYN keycaps, I was asking in your sales thread do you have it in red or is it only in stock black? Plus I'm new to all this so how much does it cost per keycap?
