i was at Jalan Pasar earlier and did a price survey on the Pioneer DEH3850. the cheapest offer i got was RM550.

does that sound like a good deal?

i know a forum member, Cola is selling the same unit but at only RM480. how is that possible?
*
yeah..sometimes you can get from the forummer here....cos they dont have hidden cost like shop/electricity/etc etc....
the things they offer are the same...warranty the same....

but make sure you confirm the warranty first.....
or you can get from another forummer....howie or something...
have seen his nick around the forum/zth.... he should be reliable... thumbup.gif

JVC G405 is a decent entry level model.
however, if you can afford, go for the 3850 by all means.
i used to have a old model (3350 - 5 generations older) and i still feel the 3350 is better than the 405, sound wise and also functionality wise.
i'm not sure whether they strip off any function between the 3350 and 3850, but it shouldn't be worse off overall

hi there, just went to brothers KJ during lunch time. i saw a panasonic cd/mp3 player selling for RM399.

here's the link for info bout it.. just click it smile.gif

http://panasonic.com.my/products/car_audio/cd_receivers/CQ_C1303.htm

the one thing that i like bout this player is that it has a front AUX. so can put ur ipod or mp3 player. comparing it to the jvc.. how the performance or sound quality. since both are similarly priced @ 399.

also this the first time i saw a panasonic HU under RM1000... does have the quality as the its big brother.. the ones sellign for RM1000++.. fyi its made in thailand btw

edit.. panasonic become pioneer.. aiyo typo

are u mean that only hu made in japan are good?

btw, sound soft / kasar may also depend on source and the detail of the sound produce from the hu...

like u play a pasar malam disc in a RM150 chapalang cd player and u play it in any branded hu....u will found out the sound from the cheap hu are flat and softer....this is because the resolution of the lousy hu is lower....oppositely, the branded hu can give u a more detailed sound...so it may sound harsh in some certain freq...but it reflected that it is higher resolution than the lousy hu. got wat i mean? u will only know when u compare 2 hu with same source and same setting(but i dun think can)

erm..sorry my english not good....lolz

i kinda miss the 3350, got it for a bargain during clearance of old model
lotsa setting to play with, such as parametric eq (compared to the bass, mid, treble only setting most entry level players comes with) and sound field control

I would suggest you to get a Pioneer HU as well. Alpine also not bad.
