Just my curiosity. Does anyone know why 99 speedmart is selling cheaper price than others?

My favorite grocery shop nowadays

becoz they keep their supplies since 1999

my friend said they buy in HUGE BULK quantities, thus can sells cheaper!

but my regular items still cheaper

anyway who is the boss of this mart?

buy in bulk

1. because they buy in bulk and in cash
2. because they have a good system to distribute their goods
3. because they are not greedy - want high profits but low sales. Instead, low profits but higher sales

cos their stock all they got it from Walmart

Cheapest so far among so many grocery shop

80% of the items in the shop is cheaper than Giant/Mydin/Tesco/Aeon Big.

Buy in bulk, always pay cash to suppliers. Their boss is OKU, polio survivor.

I was shocked to see ayambrand tuna rm4.20 while supermarket like jusco is rm5+

Plus he keep his overhead down. Hypermarket go built big big building in new area to attract customers to come, he go scout around neighbourhood for shoplot to rent.

Hypermarket keep everything, every pack size for variety, he just keep certain items, certain pack size.

got nearby 99 speedmart, donno they are cheap. might take a look someday

quite a number of their items are cheaper than even the hypermarkets. e.g. tissue paper across all brands still the cheapest at 99

The best thing is not only its cheap but they sell it below market price. Eg Gardenia bread. In the label its RM3.40 but they selling for RM3.20

some speedmart items can be a few bucks cheaper than normal supermarket item. eg. a 500g box of sultanas at speedmart = rm11.8 while other supermarket charges rm14.xx. That's rm2 savings that goes into my pocket
