Hi,

I am not sure I posted in the correct area or not. I dropped my ipad 2 this evening and it hitted the upper right section (near the power button). Now, it refuse to turn on. I tried to press the home + power button for 40s, the screen flickered faintly but stillo black. Then that is it.

Plug into itunes, didn't detect. Then did the same home + power button for 40s then itunes detected it but mentioned that it is in recovery mode. Have to restore it and it will install ios 7.0.4. I didn't accept it.

After few hours, plug again into itunes, and it showed my ipad without the recovery mode. Like normal. But screen still blackj.

Should I send to machines or attempt to restore my ipad?

Its a sign to upgrade whistling.gif
On a serious note, if really hardware damage (screen) i would suggest upgrading bcos the repair cost will not be worth it

Ask this guy from FB. He help my fren to fix his ipad. looks almost like same issue. the guy replace LCD and restore to factory setting. front glass still ok. if im not mistaken the price was around RM300. Try as him.
