David Moyes declares 'we have done our business'

QUOTE
Manchester United manager David Moyes has confirmed he will not be making any further additions to his squad during the transfer window.

Moyes smashed the club record by paying £37.1million for Juan Mata last weekend.

But, despite plenty of links to further additions, the Scot insisted there will be none.

"You can stand your cameras down," he said at his regular Friday press conference.

"I don't think they will be required. We have done our business."

However, there is likely to be some movement with younger players leaving on loan.

Failure to sign a LB during the summer and January has come to haunt us. Funny no one is pointing fingers at the person wearing the armband, who is always out of position and too slow or lazy to track back, Patrice Evra.

Welbeck meanwhile should change his position to a deeper role in midfield, he has that stamina and vision for open spaces, his finishing meanwhile is ruining his role as a forward.

man utd always play wide winger (crossing)
is this man utd board philosophy?
our winger so so bad even under SAF
we still playing winger

Kinda agree with this. Wingers are not delivering, bad crosses and one-dimensional running style is not helping. As someone mentioned in an earlier post that we do not have the height to connect with ariel balls except for Van Persie and Fellaini, most of our players are pretty...short shakehead.gif

And if players like Anderson and Nani wants to leave, please do so. Anderson has nothing to prove to this club anymore, to me, he is no longer a United player. Nani, overrated and will always be a over-hyped show-pony to me. Come Juve, take Nani. laugh.gif

Rene Meulensteen's job is on the line..

If we beat Fulham, it will pile more pressure on him. I do have a soft spot for Rene, but again, Manchester United > everything else. Let's pray/wish/hope for a positive result

Vidic leaving was expected. A rock during his prime, hats off to Captain Marvel. Thanks for the memories, but he is no longer as good as before , probably injuries has taken its toll. Time for an overhaul, Garay, Mangala, Hummels anyone?

Evra and Ferdinand will follow too

Next season would be interesting, overhaul of new players. Out with the old, new batch of Moyes-babes will rise.

Interesting enough to see our lineup for next season:

David De Taco

Rafael-Jones-Evans/Garay/whoever-Shaw/Coentrao/whoever

Carrick/Gundogan/Vidal/whoever

Hermann/whoever-Reus/whoever

Mata/Rooney

Van Persie

Our CB/LB/RM/LM and CM are available for more signings...HNGHHH looking forward to next season already. August come already!

Somehow have the feeling Moyes will field a strong squad tonight, taking nothing for granted. The players needs to be ready for the gruesome week ahead.

back 4 will surely be Rafael-Vidic-Smalling-Evra since Evans and Jones are injured and Rio is..finished? only question is will he put out all his big guns up front or rest some of them
*
Probably rotate between Rooney and Van Persie, unleash RVP-Rooney-Mata-Januzaj against Arsenal. Heard Evans is close for full fitness, hopefully He can recover by Thursday, somehow doubt Smalling's capabilities during big games.
