You got it wrong, N5 does't drain lots of battery on wifi, not on my usage pattern, I have wifi on and connected all day, chatting, surfing net, even playing online games, no hassle at all.

If OTG is temporary solution, and why so many manufacturer, included Samsung want to make such feature available? Because they know sd card is not going long, and usb drive are always faster than sd card in every aspect.
