Guy just ask a question, i intend to apply Malaysian permanent residence soon, but
abit confused about something.

The immigration rule states that i must stay in Malaysia continuously for 5 yrs before i can
apply.

I am now soon approaching the 5th year, but i work in singapore but stay in Johore, so every day
i exit and enter malaysia for my work purposes.

I have a MACS stamp on my passport, renewed each year, with now just stamped the 5th year.

My question is does this count as a valid stay in Malaysia continuously for 5 yrs? Anyone
has experience in this area using the 5 year stamps of MACS from Johore checkpoint as a valid
stay of 5 yrs in Malaysia?

Thanks in advance

High inflation and pervasive discrimination even in application forms.

The application seems okay for me atleast only ask the normal stuff like name/age and etc
similar to other countries, so that seems okay

Inflation is singapore is far worse than what i pay in Johore, hence i stay Johore

But going back to the original question anyone used the MACS status on their passport as
a valid stay in malaysia for 5yrs?

#1 politically unstable
#2 Racial profiling are on large, any non-bumiputras are institutional discriminated because of political agendas
#3 Country currency are getting weaker.
#4 Foreign workers are being treated differently according to origins (racism)
#5 Unhealthy competitive attitudes and lost of positive cultural attitudes due to failure of education
#6 Unhealthy religious conducts.

most may disagree with me, but im just telling you what i see and heard first hand.
the 1Malaysia ideal will not be materialise anytime soon as it is being viewed as a political distraction/propaganda.
and authority(Police/Rela) corruption are on large with the population largely uninformed plus misinformation of the propaganda machine.

Money can still be made tho but i would suggest elsewhere to build a future/family.

[edit]
From the mouth of a foreign friend of mine who have been staying here for almost a decade.
The malays are lazy
The chineses thinks they own everything
The indians lies and lies and lies again.

google it
there's source everywhere
even like the one where a plain-cloth Jakim Authority openly ask for bribe and thrown a racist remarks when they "caught" a chinese/malay couple.

If he voted before, that means he ALREADY got nationality. No need PR.

Anyway, it is a serious question. I too wonder if his stay counts as continous, because he exits everyday to go to Singapore.

My cousin is married to a foreigner, the husband has been living and working in malaysia for 20 years, until now can't even get a PR, why? Because he is cainis.

Whereas I know a friend, just because his grandma is a malaysian, his uncle and auntie decided to migrate to singapore...but they have PR, why? Because they are...well all i can say is the they are the majority people.

Sorry to say, but our immigration ah...very bias.

Not meant to discourage you but some of my relatives have been staying here for a long time but still couldn't manage to get a PR. Finally they got so fed up and migrated to the US.
Now they're doing very well over there.

Better to settle down in Sg if you can cope with the high cost of living. Less nonsense there smile.gif

Now the poor 15 year old boy cannot undertake his SPM, wonder what is he going to do for his future, can't work, can't own property.

mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif I very geram at NRIIIIIDDDD when I hear this.

Always happen to the chinese and indians and no one else. It is as if they got something against us.
