Hi,

I am going to work at technology park malaysia soon. Since I am going to work shift timing which starts at 2pm and ends at 11pm, I would like to ask fellow lyn here if you have any information on :

1) is there taxi/shuttle bus from TPM to bukit jalil station around 11pm to midnight?
2) when's the last star train leave bukit jalil station?
3) anyone knows the last komuter train leave bandar tasik selatan station?

I am travelling by train as I dont have a car. I live in bangi..if I can catch the last ktm train frm bandar tasik selatan station I'll be fine.

If not, I might hail a cab..which can be very costly or I will need to buy a car at the end. I am trying to gather as much as information to coordinate my travelling timing and logistics.

Thanks in advanced.

Well I'd say your luck gonna run bad. bus won't be going into tpm pass 10 if I am not mistaken. last night train for bukit jalil station is 11:30 or 12:30 ... you can double check the schedule at the station. They post them up.

Taxi will slaughter you like farm animals. it's RM10 6 months back from tpm to the station, now might be even higher.

It's best if you can car pool if not your option are only limited to the mercy of a taxi.

Are you working as network security in tpm? That is the only job I know that had such odd hours in TPM.

You can use apps like MyTeksi to for cab from TPM LRT, or straight to Tasik Selatan, which will cost about RM7 (to Bukit Jalil) or so, but going to KTM and then Bangi, might not be a good idea, as you know KTM is also known for it's delay issue And may be not too safe, at current time so many things happen.

Get a car or motorbike, you will get home faster, and God willing, safely.

Thanks. I will check the train schedule at lrt bukit jalil.

Nope, I'm not in network security. But this shift is there because I have to work with the US people. So they start early over there and we end work late over here.

I will check with the company if I can adjust the timing. Say start work earlier and go home earlier.

Or I can hail a cab to go home! It's around rm31. Geez

KTM is quite good these days!! Getting a car is one of the option. I have driving license which I havent utilize coz im quite scared to drive. Not confidence enough. Thats y I rely on public transports...now looks like best I have one.

Theres night shift actually..starts at 9pm and ends at 6am.
In terms of transport, this will do ok. But health wise it's not.

At that odd hours use public transport is not an option. Is either u move near by or get ur private transport.

This two might be high cost option but in long term u save lots of trouble. In the dark side, we don't know u will get rob how many time.if once a month u lose ur smart phone? U might can pay deposit for a rented room already.

So think wise.

Hey there,i just notice about this entry as I too maybe going to work at tpm and need to use public transport. Worse to that, I live in sg buloh. So how was it with your daily commute? Is it manageable? Or do you rent a house/room at the nearby flat/condo?

Naik lrt sampai bukit jalil. Got rapid KL bus to TPM. Sg buluh got what ? Komuter ? Then take komuter to bandar tasik selatan then change to start line to bukut jalil. Anyway I'm sure the HR there can advice you what th bus frequency etc though I seems to see many people just walk from TPM to bukit jalail or sri petaling station.

Yup sg buloh got ktm. Do you mean STAR lrt? Can I change to star lrt at kl sentral?
I guess ktm>bandar tasik selatan> lrt>bukit jalil is the best way to get there. Thanks for your reply anyway 😃

Get a room at arena green. Within walking distance. I consider quite safe. But as usual, use logic.. Dont use handbag. Use backpack to put your purse etc.

I used to work at TPM and walk everyday to work there. Sometimes walk around 9pm as i dont have transport too.

Savanna is a bit expensive, so if you can afford it, sure. Further up is vista komanwel, but you need to walk about 30-35 minutes to Tpm.

if u plan to walk during peak hours its definitely safe. and there is proper pedestrian walkway for u.

i dont recommend u walking past 8pm as the street is dark at certain areas.

and i have to remind u that bukit jalil got not much variety of food there.

u need to drive to sri petaling, serdang, puchong to have more choices.

if u stay near at tpm pls dun drive to work. the peak hour jam to get out of tpm is quite bad

anddd TPM is quite huge

Im not staying anywhere near bukit jalil.

If u opt for arena green. Walking is much better than taking bus.

U know la the reliability of our nation public transportation.

Ive seen public busses picking up the opposite of arena green. Which i assume the bus will stop @ arena green also. (2 directions)
