2014 Perodua Alza Facelift Launched In Malaysia: More Affordable Prices, From RM52k

user posted image

The facelifted 2014 Perodua Alza has just been launched at the 1 Utama Shopping Centre from RM52,400 to RM64,000 (OTR with insurance),a price than ranges from being RM1,117 to RM5,117 cheaper than the previous Alza. The Perodua carnival where the new Alza is being launched and displayed will continue there for all to see for the rest of today, and tomorrow (11th, January 2014).

2014 Perodua Alza Standard: RM52,400 (manual), RM55,400 (auto)
2014 Perodua Alza SE (Special Edition): RM56,400 (manual), RM59,400 (auto)
2014 Perodua Alza AV (Advanced Version): RM64,000 (auto)

Along with the more affordable price tag, our Malaysian carmaker has spiced things up with its new Perodua Alza by giving it a body kit upgrade, and a few new features inside. Here’s a few highlights of what’s new to the hit Malaysian seven-seater MPV:

Sportier body kit upgrade: front chrome grille, new front and rear bumpers and side skirts
15-inch eight-spoke alloy wheels
New design multimedia system with navigation and reverse camera
Roof-mounted monitor
ISOFIX child-seat anchors
Monotone black-finished interior

Buyer’s Guide:
The Perodua Alza was already an attractive package before, and now with the added kit and safety features from the facelifted model, you can’t overlook this if you’re in the market for an affordable MPV.
With all that you get from the four-star ASEAN NCAP car, Perodua also offers potential customers its three-year Free Service (parts and labour included), and a three-year warranty.
Perodua Alza Standard: ISOFIX, dual airbags

The entry-level Alza Standard retails at RM52,400 (RM1,117 cheaper than before), and is garnished with a two-tone (black & beige) interior, a CD/MP3 player and fabric seats on the inside. Outside, the Alza gets the new chrome front grille, side mirrors with turn signals, and a few other touches. Of the highlighted goodies, the Standard variant receives the new front center armrest (only Auto version), the third-row 50-50 split seats, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and dual airbags.

For those interested to know, the Perodua Alza Standard will be replacing the out-going Alza S. With that, you can expect to find the new Alza Standard replacement without any fog lamps, rear spoiler, chrome door inner handles, painted door armrests, headrest shopping hooks, and the multipurpose container.
Perodua Alza SE: + ABS with EBD, monotone interior, body kit, multimedia + navigation
Adding on to the Standard variant, the SE (Special Edition) gets the sportier front bumper with fog lamps and side skirts, a rear spoiler, and a solar and security tint film as standard. Inside, a monotone black interior sets the mood, while the leather-wrapped steering wheel make an appearance here, together with the new multimedia design system with navigation. Along with the dual airbags and ISOFIX anchors as seen on the Standard variant, the Alza SE adds ABS brakes with Electronic Brake Distribution function.
Perodua Alza AV: + Alloy wheels, , reverse camera, roof-mounted monitor, leather seats

The range-topping Alza is obviously the most-equipped here, featuring the 15-inch eight-spoke alloy wheels, a full body kit, and retractable side mirrors on the outside. Interior wise, the roof-mounted monitor makes an appearance, alongside the DVD-compatible multimedia system with navigation. There is also a reverse camera for ease of parking, and leather seats.

Performance:
There will be no changes to the 2014 facelifted Perodua Alza’s powertrain, with the Malaysian MPV retaining its 1.5-litre DVVT DOHC with EFI engine, and offered with either a five-speed manual, or four-speed automatic transmission. The combination puts out a maximum 102hp, and 136Nm of torque.
