what are u submariners usually have for breakfast, lunch and dinner?
saw in majalah 3 u guys eat chicken chop or something
*
Tu yg special.... makan sedap wooo..... cook sorang je, moral depend on him. So dia kena kreatif skit dgn makanan tu. Normally if sea outing 1 minggu.... menu x penah sama.

Breakfast biasanye... roti prata, mee goreng, bihun goreng etc
Lunch & dinner... chicken/lamb chop, mee bandung/sup/rebus...nasi sambal belacan, tomyam etc... macam2 lah.....

Sama mcm makan kt luar..... cuma cara masak different skit la...especially lamb/chicken chop tu...berasap kapal. Smoke alarm bunyi je....

QUOTE(Frozen_Sun @ Feb 23 2014, 06:17 PM)
I recently found report on performance of SK's Chang Bogo submarines in RIMPAC exercises....perhaps LTZ could confirm that it is possible for a diesel submarine to perform this

"In international exercises such as RIMPAC and Tandem Thrust, ROKN Type 209 submarines have demonstrated superiority in the detecting and attacking of powerful “enemies”.

In 1998 the ROKS LEE JONGMOO participated in RIMPAC (as did HMAS ONSLOW). It sunk 13 warships (150,000 tons) and was the only submarine to survive until the end of the exercise.

ROKS PARK WI participated in RIMPAC 2000 (HMAS WALLER participated also, with great success). Considering the 1998 RIMPAC achievements, “enemy” forces kept a close watch on PARK WI, making it a top priority for sinking during the exercise. However, she sank 11 enemy ships (96,000 tons) and, again, survived to the end of the exercise without being detected once by enemy forces. Admiral “Big Al” Konetzni, COMSUBPAC at the time, publicly praised the performance of the ROKN submarine.

In 2002 ROKS NA DAEYONG participated in RIMPAC (as did HMAS SHEEAN). It sank 10 enemy ships (100,000 tons) and, matching the trend, survived to the end of the exercise.

In 2004 it was ROKS CHANG BOGO’s turn to take part in RIMPAC (as did HMAS RANKIN). It successfully launched a total of 40 simulated torpedoes against 15 surface ships, including the nuclear aircraft carrier, USS JOHN C STENNIS, and her accompanying escorts. It survived until the end of the exercise without being counter detected and without mechanical issue.

ROKN submarine performance at these exercises has invited keen attention."

Yes it can happen...but I dont know the responsed from other ships... normally once sub launched attack, she already exposes herself. Normally other ships will take evasive manuever & counter attack. Maybe the sub conducted the attack silently...only showed the number of attacks during exercise debrief. We did the same b4.... coming to PD inside the screens (in the middle of task group formation) & launched attack silently (own simulation) & of course all ships around us destroyed. With weak capability in ASW for RMN ships...we have more advantage. In real...its not that easy.

Is that means, once the sub launches its torpedoes, it will certainly be destroyed?
*
Make full use of ur environment....evade as fast as possible. If u evading tactics are good...u ar safe...ready to re attack. But it depends....if ur enemies have no ASW capabilities.... u can continue attack & attack because u know they can do nothing to u. But if ur enemies have MPA, VDS, ASW helo....then difficult for second attack

All Astrum satellite is owned and operated by the Astrium Services
The military just contracted its x-band comm services to them (US, UK, NATO, and us) they dun really "own" the satellite
The satellite is ady up in orbit, we just use it services from them, and buy a number of comm package for use with the satt

Ironically, these x-band satellite is named Skynet

Bila ade service provider org luar ni... information security ni kurang dipercayai sgt la.... even dia cakap secure.. tp still org luar yg ade interest...

nampak sangat aset Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) untuk ketenteraan Malaysia amat penting di masa depan.. kes Lahad Datu sepatutnya guna helikopter untuk serang terrorist tak perlu guna sampai tahap pesawat pejuang, sekarang kes di perairan Laut China Selatan, rescue mission macam ni sepatutnya guna helikopter khas.
*
At open sea...MPA is more useful. They have more endurance...heli got less endurance. Heli just to rescue with mother ship.
