Anyone a follower of Scientex? Been having consistent increase in net profit and good dividends as well.

Recent property development projects also provided good yields to the company.

yea... notice that too..base in pasir gudang if im not wrong..intend to buy their shares but too expensive for beginner like me

not too expensive la, it is a good buy i think.

I was looking at Scientic earlier. In my layman's analysis and view, fundamentally OK except:
* debt/cap increased to 50% in 2013 (why? More to come?)
* RE market now is standing on a fine line and can go either way.

So I decided to KIV till the RE market direction is more certain.

My 2 cents.

dont think so, research houses value it at around 6. my own valuations put it at 7

FDI already profit taking closing end of 2013 n exit our stock market in masses since this 2 weeks...most mutual fund Msia equities have hit historical high not to mention klse ci oso....expect this year market to generally be slumping in sideway or even downtrend....

Hmm, I don't really expect a slow down until the 2nd half of the year

- Fair value/Market Timing:
– 5Y DCF: 7.34 – 8.32 (MOS: 19% – 29%)
– Buy under 4.50, sell above 6.45
- While the rise in raw material prices had affected margins for the manufacturing segment, I remain positive on SCIENTX’s longer term prospects. Ongoing expansion plans for higher margin consumer packaging films and product extensions such as the thinner gauge film (6 microns) should also provide added buffers against margin contractions. At the same time, the group has also recently completed the expansion of its stretch film capacity to 194k MT/ annum (Dec 2013), which would provide the impetus for growth in manufacturing revenue and accelerate the prospects of spinning off the Group’s property division.
- I have missed the opportunities of buying SCIENTX. Let see I got opportunity to buy it in the future.

Just received their 2015 annual report in the mail today.

I must say, Scientex has been one of my best investments. This year, revenue and profits from their packaging and property development segments increased again..

I might just top up..
