Bros,

I just got a Microfly 901 casing, and appreciate if bros here can feedback an appropriate HSF for the casing. Its quite low and I not sure what cooler can fit in apart from stock. Thanks smile.gif

Thermaltake Blue Orb II or Golden Orb II brows.gif

I just bought a Blue Orb 2 and install into Microfly. Barely fit. I had to force the tray in after fitting the orb, and had to bend the chassis to push the orb's fins thru...

So which cooler is suit for this type of case?
*
Thermaltake Blue Orb is Diameter 140mm, Height 66mm (both dimensions ngam ngam squeeze in.

Look at the attachment, the red arrow shows the actual height of your HSF that is allowed becos of that hdd support bar on top.

Give Silverstone NT series a try. Most of the fan can fix in SFF case.
*
Survey oredi. The NT6 lite (fanless) also 78mm height.

Golden Orb will definitely fit but take not that it may not supoprt dual core processor on load, its too small...

ur method is wrong. you shld secure the mobo to the tray and insert it to the casing, the ORB II you can insert it from top.
Hehe yeah after I was messing with the ram I had to remove it, and saw that it could squeeze thru from the top... thanks for the tip (although i dont wanna mess with the setup anymore)

Will the airflow be impeded? Looks like there's not much space around.
*
Actually its pretty decent for an sff, my Gigabyte GoPC is the crazy one, hardly any free space.

Gonna hang some crystals inside the case, give a bit of bling to it...

@ikan
what cooler is that in the pic u posted?

i also got myself a microfly only havnt installed yet. no matx mobo. plus planning to upgrade to AM2 for the microfly.

was wondering if theres any cooler thats SILENT (and easily compatible with most mobos - havent decided on mobo yet) since ill be using the rig for torrent + HTPC. need to sleep while the thing is on in my room biggrin.gif

Is that one fo the new Asus ones or a Ruby orb?

I think all the TT Orbs are very silent esp. the golden orb but cooling is really minimal power...

Did you mod your microfly to fit the Scythe Ninja? Isnt there a steel bar above the processor side?

Finally I swap my 7900GS with Zalman CU900 into my Microfly 901. Man, it almost didn't go in, cos the GC HSF was like a few mm higher than the opening of the casing, I thought the case would break if I wedged it any higher... but now enjoying excellent FPS on my 32" LCD thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Its just small, you can see many pics on this thread using microfly. Btw tall HSF can fit only if u mod that casing.
