Those components are goodie but when it's put into such a small case within SUGO-01..

I wonder it would becomes toaster or not ...

anyway there's lots of M-ATX mobo u could choose ...

btw the board support DX10 isn't the point .. it's the graphic card that does the job more ..

you could also try ATI 3870 which is much cooler and performs similar to 8800GT ....

i stuffed a quad into the sg03 sff... ends up like an oven tongue.gif

QUOTE(xk2 @ Apr 16 2008, 12:39 AM)
help help ,anybody know tat xqbox 902 can fit thermaltake ruby orb or not ? my casing is modded, which is previously used by wallawey, and i see got ppl mount blue orb inside, but they using amd mobo, the socket is quite low and close to middle on the mobo, but intel mobo socket are quite top,so i scare after i put ruby orb on it,it will make me cannot close the case, help
*
depends on which 'specific' mobo u going to use..
just for ur reference, (similar hsf) .. the zalman cnps8700 cun cun fits on gheygabyte g33m series mobo.

i hope my sg03 sff can fit noctua too..
heck!! mine only fits puny hsf. (look how puny it is - click in my siggie "SFF" for a front view w/ front fan panel detached)

i did consider ur square lian li before, but can't fit in cabin luggage
my quaddy sg03 was built at hometown then stuffed into cabin luggage to bring over tongue.gif

currently running my sff on 3.2g.. 24/7 loaded w/ folding.
achieved 50% oc , but not happy with the temp. >_<
somemore only now winter makes it possible for 3.2g ... so, 3.2g will gone!!!! in 4-5months time
or worst, when summer comes.. need to back to stock speed.. wahahahhaahah!

yea, the SG03 needs two high cfm 120mm fans places in the front fan brackets..
currently i only got 2 low + slow ... 120mm fan at the front fan brackets. tongue.gif

my nb temp. on load is hovering around 50c .. which is hot.
though i still ran it 24/7 on full load.. for folding @ 3.2 ghz ...
that's 50% oc for that quadz.

*
as my siggie, 24/7 full load @ 3.2ghz kentsfield (50% oc) in sg03 sff.
temps? very much depends on ambient temp. tongue.gif
sunny day -> 70c @load
cold night -> 55c @load

under intel, decide which chipset u wanna go for,
g31 - gigabyte g31m
g33 - gigabyte g33m-ds2r/s2h , asus p5k-vm
g35 - asus p5e-vm hdmi
Q35 - asus p5e-vm
g43
g45
p45 - dfi lp jr p45

nice oc-able board will be starts from g33m , g35 & p45.

_

for amd,
go for 780g chipset mobo,
as they doing well as htpc too, with its onboard vga.

but which will be a better & stable overclocker?
i need to do a mild OC 4 24/7 usage....thanks icon_rolleyes.gif

*
is there still f-i90hd in market?
the f-i90hd was once a famous matx board that being the 1st be able to do 'decent' oc for a matx setup, during its time. (as previously matx board do nutz / zero hope to do oc on it)

till the g33m chipset launched, mobo such as giga g33m-ds2r and asus p5k-vm --> both g33m matx mobo revolutionized the matx forever tongue.gif
as that g33m mobo overclocks well near to mainstream chipset ability, while even challenges better oc-ability compared to some p35 mobo.
i remember i saw some1 hit over 600fsb with e8200 on the ds2r.

after the g33m, there comes the only g35 mobo in the market -> asus p5e-vm hdmi
this mobo tops out in every aspects/features, together with ocability rate surpasses g33m.
though it comes with a heavy matx price tag of rm6xx till today. (never drop on its price lolz tongue.gif)

*note that i remember f-i90hd had a high dead/rma rate.
quite a number reported the board goes kongz after a period of time'
(and it's considered limited/outdated at its features being a matx mobo , as it's quite old already)

suggest u to go for p5k-vm if u'r tight on budget, as it's a bit cheaper compared to ds2r
due to the lack of raid feature. (ain't that important if u'r not gonna use raid setup)

yea, i also notice this thread is housed by v350 laugh.gif

sugo quite famous too, but not here.
didn't see any other sugo user reportin' in here for long time dy..
sg01 , sg01-evo , sg02 , sg03. any1?

i went for sugo, mainly due to its size & weight
sugo carries title of being the lightest & smallest footprint , among all SFF.

i think i can't post all specs of SFF in here right? laugh.gif

anyway, before i build my current rig.,
i did a survey on all sff case, last year.

so, i can safely say that. icon_rolleyes.gif
unless you put m-itx case into count. laugh.gif

afaik, sugo series only those i stated right?
01, 02 ,03.
still got more?

anyway, originally.. SFF term is only for m-itx setup.
but then, vendors start to come out with matx case and call it as SFF.

Miss out one, Sugo 04.
I mean is there a particular model you are talking about? cuz i am building a SFF rig for friend.

Opps, read wrongly. I thought you wrote mATX in the previous post.  blush.gif
*
try sg03 if ur fren want the smallest footprint of SFF.
it's a tad bit heavier than sg01, but still @ a mere 3.5kg of weight.
sg01 & 02 , weighs lighter but bigger footprint.

& another thing is that, although sg03 'looks' bigger than sg01
they actually got the very same/close cubic weight. (so, it's eye problem only. tongue.gif)

didn't get updated w/ sg04,
released on beginning of this yr. eh?

looks like sg04 promotes mobility with sg03 based design,
adding a handle bar w/ front facelift.

btw, sg03 perfect fit in cabin luggage'
that's how i bring it over laugh.gif ,
yeah it's the size and weight that allows me to bring over my rig. by slip it inside the small cabin luggage'

unlike previous matx boards w/ G-chipset by most.
