Guys.. Facing a dilemma here. Having a tough choice choosing a SFF case.

Within the price of RM200-300, it seems I have the following choices:
- XQBOX(a.k.a. Microfly, FULL aluminium chassis)
- XCUBE(similar to Microfly in internal structure, but full STEEL chassis)
- Silverstone Sugo SG-02 (I think it's the SG-02F model, full steel as well)

I actually kinda liked the XCUBE, but after finding out it's no longer full aluminium, I no longer think it's a good buy at RM240 retail. It makes the Silverstone SG-02 shine more for only RM59 more, which, includes the 4-slot vented bracket(sold seperately at RM29), which means it's only RM30 more, and the case is so much more sturdy!

If only I could get a microfly replica with an aluminium chassis, xcube's outer housing(the window part), and the xcube's fascia, then it'll be perfect. laugh.gif

So guys(and gals maybe?), should I just go straight for the SG-02F? unsure.gif

The problem is, it ain't the real microfly i'm talking about, it's so called "XQBOX" made in China.

Last unit available and it's definitely not the colour I like. And, yes, the 120mm rear fan is the main selling point other than the removable tray.

I would really love to have the "perfect(in my POV)" case with the aluminium chassis of the xqbox, steel external shell of the xcube, and the fascia.. well.. anything will do except the full silver one. laugh.gif Although, I guess, the X-Cube's fascia looked kinda good, not to mention having ventilation holes built into it.

Buying 2 of these china made cases to combine into one would be out of the topic as it would really cost too much, might as well get a full alu SG-01

Standard ATX PSU can also be used in the Silverstone Sugo

Although, 1 thing I like with the Sugo is that I can possibly mount a heatsink passively cooled by the PSU fan.

Hm.. Well... I really don't like the Silver fascia one from ngbh. And worst part of it, it's the last unit.

Yeah... pretty much sold on the Silverstone SG02 after checking out the XCUBE's build quality, not to mention since both are made of steel, the weight really doesn't really matter anymore.

Ideally, I would prefer a minitower like the CoolerMaster Elite 341, but this has to be as portable as possible so I doubt the CM will fit the criteria.

Xqbox's internal layout is quite good for me , after cut the bar above proc position, it can even fit a tower heatsink (depend ur proc socket location oso).  One thing to complain is the overall body not solid enuff laugh.gif

Which is exactly my major complaint. Although, not sure la.. no scientific proof whatsoever, I believe combining the aluminium chassis and the steel outer shell(which u removed in your pic) would be a great balance.

Hm.. Now the decision making is a little harder laugh.gif

Anyone know where to get the SG01-F for RM350? Apparently for RM50 more than the SG02-F, I think it's pretty worth it for the aluminium fascia. drool.gif

Yes yes.. Actually I'm more concern on the facsia since the plastic glossy one just look like crap, if it was a matte finish, then really icon_rolleyes.gif icon_idea.gif Glossy is just too... "toyish" in my opinion

QXBOX clearance high is how many millimeter? i mean at cpu socket there...
*
Think it was less than 70mm or something, but some people modded it by butchering off the support bar right above the CPU socket to fit tower coolers.

On a side note, the CS238 is interesting, but it looks kinda huge already to fit in my terms of "SFF' laugh.gif
