size does not matter .... but what about performance ??

i had my barebone from Shuttle last time for sc 478......

it served me well until the day i had switch to higher end graphic card....

the mobo and PSU gone after 3 months of using it without much intensive gaming...

the same goes for my brother's shuttle ... he had the same problem by running X850XTPE the time...

ever since that i would said mATX has better securement as compared to those SFF with custom mobo..... which u can't get any replacement after warranty is due...

@oldfox

I think the major problem is the reverse airflow of both CPU cooler and PSU fan ...

each of them is blowing the opposite direction sharing the airflow from the front .. .further more I'm not sure how many intake fans that u have set up for the case .... so can't judge much ...

Besides as ur 8800GTS run for a certain period it also draw pretty much amount of air to cool off ... so u left very little cool air for CPU >..<

which is not a positive sign .. for overall temperature ..

Hmmm.... my PSU just on top of the NT-06 without fan, so it just straight suck the hot air through the PSU fan
and in front i got 1 fan come with the casing, another one is using NT06 fan... so the GC temp no face any problem
and behind the casing, got many hole, i think is for cooling actually, and i can feel hot air come out from those hole as well....
but the CPU temp still hard to reduce... aiksss
*
You mean there's no active fan for the cooler ... the PSU fan is the only one that do the air exhaust task ???

I've always like the small case design but so far none of it that really fit into my taste ..

Each one of it has it's own flaw ......

That's a nice model V350 .. thought of getting it but only problem is there's no stock supply anywhere yet ...

furthermore where does all the air flow when there's no exhaust fan ..

I think the stock will be in only in Sept. Try to call ATE and ask them directly. This case has 2*120mm but the problem there is no blow holes in front of the casing. The only holes is at the side panel and very tiny one. Is this enough air intake? I don't think so.
*
I think the design of the case is not finalized yet ..

if u look carefully the design of back plate between silver and black version ...

the HDD cage and back blow hole isn't identical ..

Further more like u said there are two 120 mm fans but not enough of blow hole ..

The answer is simple those fans are meant to run in very low RPM to provide just decent airflow, since the case is 2 times smaller than standard atx case ...

I have already asked ATE and they said it depend on the reaction of the market ohhhh.....

That's why I pointed out the fact that black and silver version got different rear designs...

I think the case is not finalize yet .. as for the holes ... I think having more opening is definitely needed to utilize the dual 12cm fans..

Further more I would hope that the ventilation holes for the rear side is clear opening rather than those horizontal lines. ...

Yah ... but sadly the case still can't support any cooler that higher than 6 cm ...

hmm which really limits me to no choice of option of nice cooler ...

There's one from Asus or Gigabyte... but a bit pricey at RM5++ ...

Get the Asus board since it got quite a good review indeed...

im thinking whether to get SG-03 or XQBOX Micro Pc Case(ngbh).
i like the design of XQbox but then no chance for better PSU and big GC.

to me, SG-03 design is like mini tower.
but can fit many big component inside.

aiks, how to choose ler?
*
aio.. there's no need to think twice...

just get Sugo 03... it would be the best ...

I don't think even scythe mini could fit in due to the piece of spacer blocking the way .. unless a bit of modding trick is applied ....

when comes to small factor ... default configuration just unable to accommodates lots of foodie.

but still a good job of the hardware selections ..

It has high chance of fitting tower cooler but not those that has very tall in height ... the case has wide at 195mm, so deduct the space on the mobo side about 25mm..you would get 170mm of clearance..

so a cooler with total height doesn't exceed 150mm will be fine ... that mean from the base to the top end or the height with fan attached.. .

self mod from a case or scratch ... that would be interesting ...

hehehe .. but Lian Li PC-A05 consider one of the smallest ATX case already ..

but I think it could be even smaller by 20% to 30%, however this would sacrifice the convenient of working space. .

Not everyone could trade off performance for small size ..

Personally I love the small case system but the true fact where it's performance are pretty much limited by hardwares selection really is a turn down ...

I've something in mind but not sure should go for it or not .... wait until got more spare money ...
