if said so, then wat brand u recommend me? to suit my components...
G31 PCIE support V1.1 right?

Gigabyte G31M-S2L and Asus P5KPL-AM is very popular among all G31 board , The gigabyte cost more RM10 than Asus. Performance wise , both are performing similar and decent BIOS option for light OC . From wat i see, Gigabyte G31M-S2L seems has slightly better OC result than asus. But i still prefer Asus laugh.gif Yes, They support PCIE 1.1

may i know wat different between EG31M-S2 and G31M-ES2L in gigabyte motherboard... sorry noob in gigabyte motherboard...  tongue.gif
*
The board layout for starters is quite different. The floppy connector, the front panel header, system fan header etc, are all in different places. Most notably the GA-EG31M-S2 is physically bigger than the GA-G31M-ES2L and it features 4 phases instead of 3. The S2 also features an additional COM port, 8Mbit BIOS chips instead of 4MBit and a HD surround/center speakers header.

Here is the main spec difference:
GA-G31M-ES2L / GA-EG31M-S2 - Audio: 8ch ALC883 / 8ch ALC888
GA-G31M-ES2L / GA-EG31M-S2 - BIOS: Physical Dual BIOS / Virtual Dual BIOS
GA-G31M-ES2L / GA-EG31M-S2 - Easy Energy Saving / Dynamic Energy Saving

Honestly, that not much of a difference, so you will be okay.

Xqbox have great value with nice interior but dun expect too much for the build quality ( it fine for me) , cannot compare it with those expensive casing, Transformer have special look but i dun like the interior, u will have the limit to expand ur hardware.

Guys , those who using 775 platform can also enjoy Asus ROG M-ATX mobo as well with this whole new ASUS MAXIMUS II GENE rclxm9.gif

QUOTE
The Maximus II Gene

It looks like Asus really liked the idea of mATX gaming motherboards, as the company has been showing off a second product at CeBIT which hopefully our team will bring us more details on later. This time around it's a P45 motherboard that goes under the name of Maximus II Gene.

Although we're sure that Asus is doing this in hope to reach a new user base, we actually see a lot of potential in high-end mATX boards, as they make for an ideal base for portable LAN party systems. Considering that many Europeans travel in group or even by public transport to get to the various events, it's much easier to carry a small system with you rather than a full tower case. Smaller systems are also very popular in Japan and these boards might prove popular there too.

The Maximus II Gene looks like a solid product with a pair of x16 PCIe slots (dual x8 electrically), one PCIe x1 slot and one PCI slot. It also has four memory slots, seven SATA connectors, IDE, two headers for four extra USB 2.0 ports and one FireWire header. Although it's not clear what the rear port configuration is, the board seems to have a PS/2 port, six USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire port, Gigabit Ethernet and 7.1-channel audio, possibly with optical S/PDIF out.

There's also a rear CMOS reset button and a connector for Asus' external LCD poster and the onboard audio features software X-Fi with EAX 4.0. The chipset is passively cooled and has a small heatpipe and it looks like Asus has managed to squeeze in an eight phase power regulation circuit as well.
