I have no idea how that works, sorry for that. Hahaha. Anyway, his name is De Kee and I met him at Balakong Toyota (Wing Hin Sdn Bhd). I'm not sure if he's affiliated with that dealer or he can just go anywhere. Have no knowledge of how they work. Anyway, you can look him up, or PM me if you need his number. Hahaha

On an unrelated note, there's a poster who says that his knocking issue is gone after replacing to a newer engine mounting. How's it going?
*
I've gotten my engine mounting replaced since last Tuesday. Until today, there's no knocking issue. icon_rolleyes.gif

Yeah this is the latest version which members in tribetoyota claimed knocking sound came back after 5 days. The knocking sound will reduce somewhere in between 50-60% and u can still hear it as it's still loud!
*
Hmm, it has been 7 days since it got replaced and still no issue. I'll continue monitoring and get back to you should there be any defect. hmm.gif

Check your USB file system first. If I'm not mistaken, should be FAT32.

yes, u can see at tribe toyota and his parts number same as yours. thats why i am confuse whether wanna claim new or not
*
My advice is to just get them to replace first then you can test it out for yourself. Cause your replacement unit may solve your issue.

i guess we need head for claiming new set of lower arm?
*
A quick update, the noise did indeed came back (even after replacement for engine mounting).

I've checked @ ToyotaTribe forum, one of them claim that there's no noise after performed the following replacement:
- engine mounting
- both lower arm
- inserting rubber tube at lower coil @ front absorber

Can anyone clarify this ? I'm gonna raise this as reference to the Service Advisor. hmm.gif

how many days you drove before the engine knocking noise came back?

looks like toyota dont have solution for this?
*
About 2 weeks for mine.

I'm thinking to get them to replace for the lower arm as well to see if it helps.

Your engine mounting parts numbers?
*
Today i sent for 10k service and complaint on the tuk tuk sound that came back after 2 weeks of engine mounting replacement. SA immediately instructed them to check on the lower arm. After hours, they acknowledge and placed order for lower arm. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

new one which got knocking noise is the pictures he attach one.. u can see top of engine locate at right hand side..

if u claim new one, they will give u the previous engine mounting for the previous vios gen... some of u might solve the knocking noise, some don't. it depends...
*
Hmm, just for sharing. I sent my car last Monday for 10k servicing plus complain on the tuk tuk sound after engine mounting replaced. They instructed their technicians to check on the lower arm. They said they ordered new lower arm for replacement, but at the mean time they applied something to it.

It has been about 9 days and the sound seems to disappear till now. This may be a workaround but from what I've experienced in the other sc, they applied something as well but that lasted only up to 2 days.

hi guys.. just done my 10k service with fully synthetic by toyota..hope the fc should be good. rooftop has been covered, just decrease a bit of noise. now waiting for engine mounting part arrive.
*
I'm not sure if using fully sync oil will help with the FC. I've been using full synthetic oil since my first service (1k). smile.gif

But from my experience, what I do know is that driving with Eco mode turned OFF definitely help! flex.gif

hmm.. i thought ECO mode is just an indicator mode only?

how much does it actually saye fuel with ECO turned off?
*
Hi aroma,

Yup, the ECO mode lighting is just an indicator. If there's lighting, it means you're on Eco Mode.

To turn it off/on, refer to the following link:

Toyota Tribe

I got to know about this about 2 weeks ago and I'm still monitoring. But in brief, here's my finding:

With Eco mode:
- avg: 11.52km/l

Without Eco mode:
- avg: 13.7km/l

Mostly city driving, about 90%

so the light is for our eyes only. which means if the driver ignore the light, no matter the eco light is on or off, the consumption will still be the same. blink.gif

answer is given here:

*
Well, more to the eco light = how hard we press on the pedal. Actually I feel much more comfortable driving with eco mode on, but for FC sake, I turn it off. I'll continue to monitor for another month or two before deciding if I were to go with on/off in future smile.gif

WOW.. ECO mode really effect the FC... hm.. will try it out later certainly !
*
Some ppl said that Eco is just the lighting. But from my personal experience, with Eco mode on/off, it feels very different. I'm new to driving so I'm not sure how to explain it. I would suggest you to give it a try, no harm right ? biggrin.gif Maybe then, you can give more details explanation to others who need them. smile.gif

Hi everyone ~

What's the usual self-check you guys do before driving your car for long journey ?

I'm asking this because I'll be driving from KL to Penang for holiday. Current mileage is 15k. Do you think I should send to SC to check ? Or just wait till it reaches my next service at 20k mileage. (3rd Gen, E spec) rclxub.gif

Also, roughly how long our battery will last ?
