All Automatic Vios is 4-speed.

Only manual Vios is 5-speed.

All 3 gens of Vios uses the same engine, with minor modifications.

The gearbox is also the same, although starting from 2nd gen the control unit has been upgraded.

before reading this thread, i got my car in 21st may and during travel back home, got a few road bump and i heard the unwanted sound. got really scare one.haha. so the next day already went to SC to complaint on the unwanted sound from the right hand wheel.

This coming Thursday going to change the mounting. And complaint about roofnoisy during raining and side windows both driver and passanger- loud noise during upward and downward operation.

Mine gen3 yes.

Toyota claimed that new vios 's fuel consumption has been reduced by five per cent than the generation before 

Hi all, any info on where I could install sound/heat proofing materials to a 1st gen vios?

Price estimation if install the materials on the doors, roof, boot, hood, and floor?

How long to install all this? Need to leave car over night at shop?

What are the procedures during the installation of these materials? Example do that need to tear down the current interior fitting to install those insulations etc..

Any info about sound proofing a vios will be super helpful

disclaimer: this is from my own personal experience and will be different from others. your foot makes alot of difference on FC. till now i still unable to control my foot during slow drive, like after bump, the car transmission damn stupid will downshift and creating an unnecessary accelerating power which causes high FC, guess toyota drive by wire tech is not that good during the 2nd gen vios. 3rd gen vios have better drive by wire tech + lighter body. that's why you see a reduce of FC in the new vios

its the same size with current J or E spec, no point to get that.

design wise, its very individual taste dependent. Perhaps you like the design, or wanna convert to TRD look..

just an advise in terms of practicality.

why not go for after market air filter bro?

since Works engineering ones only cost u around 160 to 175

can use for long term also.. washable

improving your car response too .....
