squeeky noise from steering is actually the airBag trigger cable. SA said its like that.

my nearly 10 years old Focus never have this sound also...
ooh.. D shape rubber to reduce the wind noise.... good. I got a small D installation on my ride too.

Overall first impression driving back from Setiawangsa to Cheras... engine revving noise really been greatly reduced... by around 65% i would said. Engine idling sound is very minimal.

For the doors, external noise from crossing car were reduced. To be honest, not much; perhaps around 30-40% i guess. However, the door felt much more solid as single sheet installed on each door weighs 400-500gram. The dampening is good. When u knock on the doors, its damn solid now.. like duk duk duk, instead of tong tong tong. Due to the heavier weight on door, closing the door requires less effort; because of the stronger momentum swing.

i've consulted Welgan of GA Auto Soundworks... he said the thin cushion provided by Toyota do help to reduce noise... but no dampening effect at all. That means... rain drop milo tin noise will still be there.

got a quote from Welgan on roof... it cost RM580 at his place, same material applied on doors... STP Gold dampening and another layer of the 3M white cloth insulation.

all in took 3+ hours to complete... reached there at 1PM... chao at 415PM... only 1 person doing the installation... salute Welgan on this.

haha actually for me is acceptable already, umw where got so good make our roof as quiet as lexus...
as long as no more tong tong tong tong lion dance sound lolxxx

my dashboard noise already countless liao lol
but only happen when go up or down shopping mall car park, especially these twister round type with rough road surface, whole car vibrate badly

mine come from cup holder, passenger and driver's side door , dashboard rattling behind headunit done wrapping all wires nicely..

so now no more irritating rattling sound yea!

well in the future i plan to upgrade my hu to touchscreen.. but i guess the cover also need to change? as our HU cover part till air cond part.. hmm..?

i believe its due to the body finishing whereby one 1 metal and the other is plastic.
