sending mine for second service 5k km tomorrow morning... it will cost RM78... it think this is too cheap; for a semiSyn engine oil...

tomorrow will double check if its SemiSyn or Mineral.

just wanna ask ur car when u on air cond.. will outside air come in a bit? like exhaust gas or the air will go into cabin when happen pass by smelly places?

plan to seal my air cont vent so outside air will not come in even a bit...

am so frus when front car exhaust gas so smelly ... argh!

same , my vios has the sounds too. tot of getting new absorber to get rid of the ugly sounds

1k and 5k is based on mineral oil.. 10k service interval onward only recommend by using semi synthetic.. Should be normal price for self-product branded oil.. Liked perodua semi synthetic oil also selling within this range of price rm70-80..

I want to ask apart from the obvious things you see on the Spec sheets, is there any difference in terms or NVH specs between a J, G or E specs for the new 2014 Vios. What I mean is that do they use different insulation, etc between the specs? I was thinking of getting J specs and then mod it accordingly, but would not mind spending more for a higher spec.

Mine have no issue with outside air intruding cabin.

For J and E, its same; which means crap.

Hi there.. I'm planning to buy vios G soon.. This new vios service interval 10k or 5k?
How about trd bodykit original from toyota, how much? I dont want aftermarket bodykit, siecnce the quality not same as original..

guys do take note on your car's disc size if you are on this batch with the new grille models, do you notice your car front disc is smaller than those older batch models

Different people have different expectation on the cabin NvH. I came from Ford Focus hence the bad experience with this new Vios

I would suggest that you take it for a spin before making any decision.

First 3 service is 1k and 5k, then 10k. 1 and 2nd service is using mineral hence 5k. 10k onwards is semi, it should be 10k interval from there on.

can u try one thing for me?

open up ur bonnet and push the bonnet down with ur 2 hands... can u hear any weird noise from rear absorber/spring when it bounces back?

other vios owners can try too perhaps?

use remote of course la or can open from driver's side near to where u open fuel pump.. or u can press any rear area... try to pull down and hear got weird sounds or not when the absorber bounces back?

Never ever use both ur hands to press down the bonnet to close it. You will caused the hood to dent.

I usually let it free fall above 3-4 inches so that it locks itself.



Btw, Toyota Malaysia aka UMW had recognized both the loose brake pedal and formt knocking case. They are looking into it.

Today sent in for 5k service and complaint the same case. They told me that they're pending confirmation from HQ on which cause the issue, and the rectification process. Most likely a recall in newr future.

Hope this is a good news for every new Vios owners.

hi im driving vios 1st gen 2007.. my milage already pass 186k.. do we have timing belt or timing chain or something like that? i start driving this car when my milage start from 50k++...

justnow try, no sound, but just test softly as roxy said will cause bonnet dent... lol
